Tate is saying Anderson FWIW.

I am not overly concerned. Chizik said he would spend more time on the asst positions next week I believe. We may lose some recruits, but overall we will be OK. I am glad he is wanting to bring in the right guys and not rushing it.

why isnt anderson gonig to unc with fedora? is it because he wants to run a different system?
Maybe he thinks its time to branch out. Prove what he can do as a OC. Then he would get a HC job.

Too bad Malzahn didn't bolt earlier then you guys could have thrown money at Paul Petrino while we still have McGee then we lose McGee to UAB then having to promote and hire someone else instead of getting Paul.

Dont try to stick us with your problems. Illinois O were terrible under Petrino. Passing O was worse than AU this season. And in 2010 UI pass O was 115th. Plus it is very werid that Petrino was the OC and the WR coach. Means he cant develop a QB

I bet if you spent less time focusing on AU, you would be less stressed.
Its been a week.

Chiz said he probably won't hire a coordinator till after the bowl game.

I think LSU waited to announce Chavis until after the BCSCG or close to it. I am sure Chiz is moving, things will get much quieter with the Stoops public fiasco.
Chavis wasn't hired the same year as the bcsnc in 07-08. It was a year later.

About the recruiting, WUT?
1 down year recruiting can potentially set you back a few years. I agree they need to find their guys but it needs to happen for the sake of recruiting or other guys will start flipping like Yeldon.

We'll have a guy after the bowl game and before the dead period ends, recruiting won't take a big hit.

Does that apply to Florida and Alabama which also have OC openings or does this only apply to Auburn???
Our recruiting may not be top 5, but will be top 10... Book it...

I'm not concerned. Chiz stated that most likely he wouldn't hire coordinators until after the bowl game. Since it's a dead period anyway, it won't make much of a difference with recruiting. The Turds don't have an OC, and they still managed to flip Yeldon. I'd rather Chiz take his time and get it right.

its not a "down" year if you stay in the top 10. A down year would be consistently top 10 and then have one class that is like 24 or something.

True.
And, what if the new Coord's are able to bring in even better recruits than Roof & Malz were able to bring in? Some folks keep saying recruiting may suffer if the hires aren't announced soon.... What if the new hires improve the '12 class when they get there?

IMO, I think we're gonna go in another direction with the offense... away from the spread.
Dear God, I hope this is right. I don't think we will, but I want to REALLY BADLY.

Yall do know that since CGC has been the HC, we've had 4 1000 yrd rushers in 3 seasons, right?

good point.... if 2010 wasn't smashing people, then maybe we need a new definition.
