Am I the only one that wouldn't mind any of the 3

They all have pros and cons. Obviously O is by far the biggest risk. I'm at a point right now that honestly I wouldn't mind if Herman, O or Jimbo led us out next year.
IMHO it's
1. Jimbo
2. Herman
3. O and Big Time OC
But at the end of the day I'll still bleed P&G and root for whoever the next head man is.

If we hire O, I fear we'll become Michigan.

Why is it Herman or Jimbo vs. O and a big time OC?
I hope you don't think this is the requirement for O, if so, you shouldn't be happy with O because we're clearly having to cover up deficiencies with additional hires.

Yes. And the problem is that there are less risky other hires who should be at #3. Using the words "by far" should clue you into that. Otherwise there's Jimbo and Herman, then a "large gap" then O, then other hirable coaches. You're saying Fedora, Kelly, Petrino, etc., none of those fit better than O? There is not a single hirable coach better than O outside of Fisher and Herman?

3. O and Big Time OC

I don't know, to me there's definitely a more extensive list, which ends with Orgeron taking up our slack while Aranda sharpens his axe. Something like (C) Kelly, Fisher, Fedora, Holgerson, Herman, Harsin, Brohm...Orgeron (Aranda).

I absolutely LOVE how you guys won't take O without "a big time assistant". That says a WHOLE bunch.

I wouldnt mind O but only after Jimbo and Herman tell us no way.

yea i agree. I would hate to have to make the decision if i was the administration between those 3. You know one of these guys is gonna be the perfect coach, i hope they pick right. Can't wait to see one of them rep the purple and gold

I for one agree with your thoughts as long as Coach Oeaux hires a big-time OC and if he can keep Aranda - which unfortunately I truly believe he will be coaching at UT next year with Herman - then it could be a pretty successful. But I feel Coach Oeaux is going to go as far as his OC & DC go.

quote:You wouldn't have to. If Jimbo was under the impression that LSU was undecided AGAIN, he'd probably tell us to take a hike. He's the 5th highest paid coach in the country and the FSU fan base is over there kissing his arse right now. I doubt he would come over here to put up with this shite TBH.

No worries. O's phone is ringing off the hook. Everybody wants him too.

I see this all the time and I'm very interested to hear about all the Big Time OCs available that are just itching to come to LSU.

Really? Did you not notice how hard it was to get rid of Miles? O will be twice as hard to jettison. With his network of yes men politicking for him and all the media guys on his side he will have a death grip on this program. Those thinking you can just give him a chance and dump him easily if it doesn't work out are in for a rude awakening.

While I prefer Jimbo and Herman, I agree... All 3 could do well here.

I'm not melting with any of them. Yes, I prefer Jimbo or Herman but not going to need a day off or a therapy puppy if O gets it.
