Agree Alleva is a jackass and a smartass, but I promise you he wanted Miles gone then. F King Alexander stepped in and blocked the firing.

Should never have given Miles the massive powerball contract extension when the Arkansas rumor started.
LSU was easily Top 10 at that time, was spending top money and could have picked up a better long term coach.

Yeah, I'm not sure how much Hickey really knows, but he dam sure has more info. than I do, so I appreciated him providing it.

If true, O doesn't last longer than another year.

Surely alleva knows how bad he screwed the pooch hiring O?

One can dream

Well hopefully it won't be Ensminger, he's got his place already.... Exactly where he is TE coach

That’s no insult, either. He is doing a good job there and in recruiting. Let him stay right where he is and continue that.

But if you let Alleva choose the OC, run into the possibility of having another Canada situation.

I think the point may be that O will no longer have the authority to cause that situation again. With a DC who makes almost as much and an OC hire taken out of his hands after him causing a loss of 1.7 mil in buyout money, O may be getting kneecapped here.

That could cause its own problems, if true, but if he really doesn’t get to make the hire, then it would be a major development. We shall see.

The BOS was Consulted about hiring some folks that might impune the reputation of the University.
They hired Alleva, Orgeron, and Ponamsky...

Everything I've seen over the past two weeks does nothing but solidify my opinion that we have the wrong head coach and that Alleva is lost. How can he not see this?
You hired a coach without a vision or at least the ability to execute a vision for the program so you have to fire the OC after one year. Then because you and everyone else knows your coach can't handle the job you have to back up the brinks truck to pay a coordinator and guarantee him a contract beyond that of your HC. Aranda is very good but guys his last employer finished with the best defensive stats in America this year without him. If you have a HC you replace coordinators.
Now you can't trust your coach to hire his own OC!?
Every step of the way the only conclusion I can come up with is that Alleva has failed and all he does is continue to justify that belief. I don't care how this ends up this is some of the worst top level management I've ever seen in any organization

I call bullsh*t! You mean to tell me the head coach has no say in who he is going to have to work with every single day?! GTFO.

After the Canada fiasco I’d totally believe Alleva is playing a much larger roll than he should.
Hopefully this time they all sat down for a very very long serious chat session.

JA saved the season not O!

Seriously, the coming to Jesus meeting is the true turning point.

O would have still acted like a perpetualant child.

Didn’t he do this by hiring him to begin with?
