LSU has been feeding people names to find out who is leaking info. I wouldn’t really trust any info from media members, or the two guys on here that have seemed to have solid info.

This can’t be accurate. There is no reason to keep a coach around if after one year, you do not trust his vision for the program enough to have input into the offensive system that will be run while he is HC.

I disagree. This could turn into a nightmare. I'd rather Orgeron hire whoever he wants and given a very short leash to make it work.

If Alleva is heavily involved and persuades the hire, he'll likely feel compelled to give it more time to work, too.

What makes you think that's how it's going to go? This is the same guy who "made a coaching search" only to promote his buddy O to HC. For all you know he agrees with O on the situation he's just making it look like they searched for someone again only to promote the other good ole boy from within.

Alleva should make you very nervous doing any coaching searches.

Anything is better than promoting E to full time OC. So, thats how i think its going to go. Any selection is better.
Personally I think we are waiting on the falcons to lose and see if we can come to terms with Sark.

We're probably fricked either way. The only positive outcome from this is that Alleva realizes how much his job depends on this hire and actually tries to fill the need.

I can't disagree. All your points could be right on. I do believe O and Alleva are tied at the hip bottom line.

The LSU Board of Supervisors do not trust O to hire the O.C. I've been conversing with a sports writer via email, and this was his exact quote.

That’s a pretty bad working relationship if this is indeed true. No matter how bad of opinion we think of him, the Head Coach should hire his staff

I understand your premise but its flawed in one major way: Alleva knows this is the only HC hire he gets to make. If it fails, he's out too. Thus, he will do whatever he can to make it work.

I'm not so optimistic. I believe it's going to be Ensminger because that's who O wants. Alleva is not going to hire anyone that puts friction with him and HC especially considering how Canada went down. Alleva is only making it appear like he's actually doing his job when the real plan is to keep the good ole boys network rolling fully ahead. This is LSU politics.

So Alleva didn’t want Little Brilea because of possible baggage, yet he looks at himself in mirror and makes the hire.... wow

Yessir, both arses on the line. They're conjoined in every way. Alleva I believe has to be in full agreement with O on the selection.

This is true, especially after how he handled the Canada situation.

I would have agreed with you on Tuesday.

I think the Aranda deal changed things for Alleva. I think he was able to tie himself to a second life raft. And now he can cut Orgeron loose and just float along behind Aranda.

Absolutely right I believe. Every swinging d on this planet has somebody to answer to. O made a major mistake on Canada and cost the athletic dept a pretty big amount of $$.

Sounds more to me Alleva is protecting his boy O that's why he's doing the coaching search. Going to come right back and present to the board I looked at it hard and I think he's right on Ensminger guys.

Alleva.

I'm pretty sure Alleva has some sort of an ego where his coveted O hire wants to be proven correct so he's going to do whatever he can to support his guy.

I'm torn on this. If you let O promote Ensminger then we're not getting the best at OC. But if you let Alleva choose the OC, run into the possibility of having another Canada situation.

Or JA tells O to leave his boy the OC alone. Focus on the dline and Gumbo but leave the O alone.

Sadly this may cause O to accept one of the many offers coming his way.
