247 Sports - LSU's job should be Ed Orgeron's to lose despite Alabama loss

Obviously, to most LSU fans, this article is absurd. It begs the question - why are media reporters lobbying so hard for Orgeron to get the job?
Well, in this particular case, the article was written by Chris Hummer.
Why is that significant? Because he's also the managing editor of Texas' 247 board. Of course, that information isn't disclosed.

Orgeron is Louisiana at his core, and he’s on record many times stating LSU is his dream job.
quote:
Give him only three years of guarantees or frontload it. Orgeron would take it. He wants this job.
Some will say Orgeron needs to win out or will need to finish 3-0 or 2-1 to keep the job long term, and perhaps he does. There isn’t an easy road ahead for the Tigers with Arkansas, Florida and Texas A&M left on the schedule. That could be advantageous for Orgeron. There is an opportunity to make a statement after missing a chance against Alabama.
quote:
Despite the shutout loss there is a swagger around the LSU program again, and that’s thanks to Coach O. It should be his job to lose.

Oregeron has been working the local media since he got down here. He's been preparing for this situation since he was hired. Hiring Pomansky in some pseudo football role was not coincidence because they were friends, he wants the media on his side
Hilary and trump have been a joke for a year plus, Coach O is the one pulling Frank Underwood level strings behind the scenes to get the power he wants

Ed o has said everything the media and fans have wanted to hear. Ponamsky no doubt has been educating him in this area. The entire situation is absurd and I can't believe people are talking themselves into letting O take over our program.

Quite sad given the machinations in play. O is doing the classic Louisiana good ole boy routine. People championing O are just being played.

I have never been in an interview where i didn't say the job was my dream job.
WHO frickING CARES
that only matters if you desperately want the coach. shite HC at LSU is MY dream job.
Does that count for anything? NO.

So this is a glorified opinion piece? K. Writer can KHS now.

State of Louisiana has been fooled by dumber politicians than O

Well shite I'm from Louisiana. I'm a Louisiana man inside and out and I always will be. LSU is my dream job as well. shite I'm more like Ed Orgeron than I thought. I think I should be the LSU coach just like everyone else thinks Ed Orgeron should be the coach. What do you think guys?

Bama is Bama. How the team responds to the loss is what I want to see. Then I will make up my mind on O.

I've always really liked coach O, but...
How he is working and politicking for this job is beginning to piss me off. I guess i can't really blame him for doing it, but i wish he would let his record and gameplan speak for itself.
Instead, he uses his best buds to alter public perception.
If he gets the job this way, it will leave half of the fanbase furious, which the other half will be perfectly content.
