About halfway through book one of The Expanse. I'm enjoying it so far.

Yeah I’ve listened to this on Audible twice since being locked down and it is perfect for this moment in time.
It’s one of my all time favorite books. I’ve always tried to tell people to read it, that it isn’t really a zombie book but a study on national and international response in a pandemic situation, and so many chapters feel like they’re pulled right out of today’s headlines. Just outstanding.
I also finally decided to read Red Rising. Excellent read, loved it. Just finished the first trilogy and moving on to the second series now. Is it as good?

The first two books have been as good as the original trilogy I'd say. Darker and more gritty than the first three though.

What with little else to do, I have started reading again in a more thoroughgoing way. I don't visit many websites any longer just here, my cigar home, and FB regularly. So I'm web-bored and knowing reading is better for my brain anyway.
I have restarted the Chronicles of Brother Cadfael, a mystery series set in the 1100s at the Abbey of St. Peter and St. Paul, Shrewsbury, Shropshire England. Protagonist Brother Cadfael is a retired Crusader now Benedictine who is the herbalist and often sleuth. It also gives me the yen to work in the garden.
