Freaky Deaky by Elmore Leonard. Haven't read it in a long time and picked it up few days ago. Fun book and a fast read.

I'm reading the Case for Jesus by Brandt Pitre. I've been into biblical history lately.

Next I'll read The Plantagenets. I'm always into English history.

Finishing up The Killer Angels.

Next will either be the second Stormlight book, Mentats of Dune (I hate what Brian Herbert has done to the Dune universe, especially with the abominations that were the last two books in the original series but for some reason I always read his books) or a collection of H P Lovecraft short stories.

Thinking, Fast and Slow - Daniel Kahneman
The Feeling of What Happens - Antonio Damasio

Thinking about picking up From Bacteria to Bach and Back by Dan Dennett on Audible. Anyone read it yet?

Big Data Baseball by Travis Sawchick. The third book in the same vein that I've read. Basically the profile of a franchise that was mired in mediocrity (or worse) and used statistical analysis to bring about better on field results. The others were Moneyball and The Extra 2%. I could read one about every single franchise, if someone wrote one. Though I don't think there will be one about the Diamondbacks any time soon.

Also reading Malt by John Mallett. I got the set of four ingredient books about beer and picked that one to start with.

Almost finished Golden Son, the second book in the Red Rising trilogy. Pretty good read though it tends to deus ex machina/McGuffin sometimes and can venture pretty close to being Mary Sue-ish at times.

Before that I read American Gods (prompted by the publicity for the tv show). I found that book to be really really good. Once it got going I had a hard time putting it down and I was even a little saddened when I got to the end that it was over.

The Gardens of the Moon - the first book in the Malazan Book of the Fallen series.

Honestly, I'm trudging through it. I'm only 1/4 of the way in and everyone says that it takes a little while to get going. I'm going to keep pushing through.

On the first read of this I almost quit multiple times. It is slow and confusing as hell. I kept thinking that I had started on the wrong book.

He writes like you you should already know shite that you have no way of knowing.

Just finished IT. In the middle of 1984. Can't decide on if "Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" or "Battle Cry of Freedom" should be next. I'm a very eclectic reader.

IT will be my next read. Never read it before and I don't recall a lot of details from the miniseries so it should feel pretty new when I get to it.
