I will second the Olympic park/Lake Crescent suggestion. We rented a house on the Peninsula. It was in a small neighborhood but there was a lake. It was west of Port Angeles, that' all I can remember. It was late September so we didn't do any lake activities. The entire Olympic Peninsula is not a bad drive to get to all the different areas. Airbnb should have some good options.
Pinehurst Brewing Company is good. Villager Deli for sandwiches if it works with your golf schedule. The Deuce at Main Clubhouse is decent bar fare. Drinks at Pinecrest Inn in the Village can be fun-not sure if patio will be open- but it seems to attact the "locals" which can be fun. And of course Ryder Cup Lounge at the Carolina Hotel is one of the best places to soak in the atmosphere. In past couple years, they have added fire pits outside and expanded it. Hope you get great weather for your trip.
The one on Hardy Street is great if you like super casual setting. Beer selection is pretty large. I find the menu has a little something for everyone, from a grilled tuna salad to basic bar-food pizza. Also a fan of the fried pimento cheese app. If the weather is nice the patio is a fun place to hang out with drinks.
I also had flu like symptoms after 2nd dose for about 48 hours still not as bad as getting shingles.
River Road Creole ...usually whole bean.

Community tastes bitter now, River Road puts out a great product
How can he have an offer from LSU already ? Or anywhere else ? A school cannot make official contact with a high school recruit until the summer following junior year of high school.
That said, this kid has a wonderful future. Wish him the best.

Illahe- nice one from Oregon Total wine has it for less than $30 and also Calandros (more than $30)

... and then he would probably be given additional exemptions because his presence in the filed would generate interest on all levels. The Tour is going to reward talent like his. No sponsor is going to penalize him for his accomplishments at the Amex if he decides to take advantage of earning his card early.
- with the PGA Tour U and accelerated status program, he may obtain status with a win.

We were there in September. Def spend some time relaxing on the porch area of the Carolina hotel with drinks from the Ryder Cup Lounge. In September they were expanding the outdoor area outside of the Ryder Cup Lounge with more patio room and fire pits. That specific area and the rocking chairs at the main clubhouse overlooking 18 (on NO. 2) are 2 of the best seats to have a drink and soak in the atmosphere. The Cradle is also an excellent way to spend some time. If the outdoor bar over at the Pinecrest Inn in the Village is open stop there too. Few more locals stop by there. Enjoy your trip.
Was there in late September 2021. Olympic is gorgeous. Stayed at an Airbnb art 15-20 mins outside of Port Angeles. If possible, go the Airbnb/vrbo route. We found there is a decent amount of driving between sights in Olympic park and if you are having to eat every meal out ..could be a problem.

Sights- Lake Crescent is beautiful. We did the Storm King hike and it was a beast. Made everything after that seem easy. Hurricane Ridge is awesome, try and get there early. Being flatlanders, I even thought the drive up there was fun. Rialto Beach is stunning. As was drive south from there. There are a few more beaches you can walk out to also. We tried to go to Hoh rainforest on day we were driving back to Seattle but got impatient with the line of traffic headed in there. We did Sol Doc Falls, even saw salmon jumping. Do your research bc there are many places for hiking that won't kill you.

We ate at a brewery/gatropub in Port Angeles that was excellent. Can't remember the name. But again, if you can cook your own stuff a few nights, that might work out. Decent grocery store in Port Angeles. We stayed 3 nights in the airbnb which was right in Olympic Park.

We never made it to Mt rainer.

We did this in early/mid October. Flew into Portland, drove to Canon Beach. Spent 2 nights at the Hallmark resort there, then spent next 3 days town hoping as we drove south. Near Canon Beach is Ecola State Park, that has a couple nice hikes. Beaches are nice and its easy to have a fire on them. The restaurants were hit or miss as far as being open, not sure if it was because we were there early in the week or it was a seasonal thing. We had an inconsistent marine layer the whole week, but it definitely didn't spoil anything. Pacific City was another night we spent and there's a big dune you can climb with nice views. Other spots have rockier beaches, or Devil's Churn (?) is a spot where you can walk down and out onto the volcanic rock as the wave crash near you. We found it a very cool experience. We had business in Corvallis, so we went there, then doubled back to coast, drove south from Florence and spent 2 nights at Bandon Dunes. Florence has some nice restaurants. Coos Bay seemed like it would be a good stop too. Some of the areas near Bandon you can rent dune buggies and sandboard. There is also whale watching out of Depoe Bay.
We loosely followed one of the itineraries we found online, just start looking at a few. If you like natural scenery, it really is a great roadtrip. There is another thread where I asked same question and responses were helpful.
Crescent City Grill for dinner.

Breakfast /brunch- Midtowner.
And Keg and Barrel is quietly one of the better bar food places you will find.

Bumping this thread to thank all those who replied.

The Oregon Coast is truly spectacular. I think Devil's Churn and the Dunes in Pacific City were my favorites. We had a great mix of weather, some marine layer and some sun. The scenery everywhere we went was just tremendous. Also made it to Bandon Dunes and spent a day in Willamette Valley. Everyplace we went lived up to the recommendations. Only thing I would tell others to skip ...Tillamook Cheese factory. Love the cheese, but honestly thought place was a tourist trap.
Again, thanks for the tips.

Will be in Oregon early to mid October. Flying into Portland and driving over to Cannon Beach. Will be heading south from there for next 4 days. Any must sees ? Restaurants ? Will definitely go to Ecola State Park for some hiking. Would love to stop at a winery or two.

Thanks in advance. The advice and tips I got from this board last year for a trip to Olympic National Park were terrific.

Agreed. It will be interesting in the aftermath to see how much he allows her incompetence to show. They are both about as helpful as a hemorrhoid.
Did anyone else catch Nola Mayor claiming it would take several days to set up contraflow ? Wouldn't there be a set plan already devised for this ? Or am I uninformed ? I know it's a moot point at this moment.

Planning a trip there in late September. Any "must-dos?" Will likely be staying in Port Angeles area.

Thanks
