So far in May:
Seveneves by Neal Stephenson - Sci-fi epic that ended up being a slog to read.
The Iron Circlet by Phil Tucker - book 4 of 5 of his Chronicles of the Black Gate series. Well done indie grimdark.
Blackflame by Will Wight - the third installment of the Cradle fantasy series. Very good.
Red Sister by Mark Lawrence - newest trilogy by Lord Grimdark himself. Good, not great.
City of Miracles by Robert Jackson Bennett - inventive conclusion to a really good trilogy (The Divine Cities).
The Crimson Queen by Alec Hutson - another really good indie grimdark novel (part of a planned trilogy).

How is it? I have it on my "books to read" list.

Why finish it? Just go read something that you want to. You already know how this one ends and if not, there is a movie about it!

I read The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin last week. My wife's 5th grade class was reading it and the way she talked about it made it sound interesting, and it was a quick, easy read.
Before that I read Patricia Cornwell's Ripper: The Secret Life of Walter Sickert, where she tries to further prove the theory that artist Walter Sickert was Jack the Ripper.
Jeff Shaara's Korean War novel The Frozen Hours should be coming from Amazon today and I will start it sometime this week or this weekend.

Haha. It's not that I don't want to read it again. I just haven't been spending time reading it. I've made a lot of progress on it that last few days, however.

I just started The Boys of Summer by Roger Kahn. I'm only about 40 pages in, but it seems like a good recount about the 1952-55 Dodgers by someone who spent a lot of time with the team.

"The Run of his Life: The People V O.J. Simpson" by Jeffrey Toobin

I listened to a podcast where Stephenson was the guest a few months ago and he talked about the book. It sounded incredibly interesting.
Was the pacing bad?

The Gardens of the Moon - the first book in the Malazan Book of the Fallen series.
Honestly, I'm trudging through it. I'm only 1/4 of the way in and everyone says that it takes a little while to get going. I'm going to keep pushing through.
Awful crap. Everyone talks about how intricate and dense it is. It's just boring and incomprehensible.

Just started Bruce Feldman's 'Meat Market'. Kinda breezed through the first 3 chapters without blinking.

No...too much exposition and technical talk...not enough dialog.

"Start" by Jon Acuff. It's not bad for a self starter / motivational.

I love Elmore Leonard. I haven't read one I didn't like.
Djbouti and Up in Honey's Room, I have read in the last several weeks. Two of my favorites!
ETA: Currently reading The Lioness is the Hunter by Loren Estleman. Sort of like Leonard but not as funny. At least in the Amos Walker series. He wanders off on long sentences and refernces and I find myself reading some paragraphs over again.

Same here. Stick and Tishomingo Blues are my two favorites of his. Didn't care for Djbouti.
