So I'm into the 5th book of Wheel of Time. Pretty good reads thus far, though I don't think 14 of them is going to bring me to the Winds release unless I take a long break
On as side note, while I am well and enterntained by what I have read thus far, I have underestimated the effect of not a single floppy wiener would have on my experience. I mean I'll be reading about this hot chick and one of the main characters and they are totally about to get it on, and then the damn chapter ends. Really is taking away from the story IMO.

People try to say that having vulgarity in literature is just there for "shock value" but I'm sorry if I'm writing a story about two people sitting somewhere talking about anything I'm going to use the dialect of my time and place. Meaning there's going to be frick, shite, arse, and damn. And chances are the discussion of whether or not a man would like to have intercourse with a woman walking by is going to pop up.

I think part of Jaime's redemption is distancing himself from Cersei until he can see her for the crazy monster she is. I think Jaime dying beside Cersei would be a detriment to his character.

You guys read the preview chapters? I've never done it before and don't really want to but if any decent spoiler is in them I may as well since I'm sure ill head about it

Yeah, I still think of her as a child. She'll have to do some other roles before I think of Sophie Turner that way.

Absolutely we do. Go read the Arianne chapter on his site. There are YouTube vids of the oral chapter readings.

It does make me wonder, since Sophie is 18 and will be around 24 when the series ends, and Sansa was aged up in the show, if GRRM is going to write Sansa sex scene(s) in TWoW or ADoS.

I thought it was appropriate since Littlefinger is such a creep. On my rewatch of the series last night in S3 E3 Bronn refers to Littlefinger as "Lord Twatbeard" (and for some reason I didn't remember it at all when I saw the episode when it first aired last year). I had to rewatch it again because it was that great.
