I was talking with other readers in a different thread (bluegrass belle and maybe OMLandshark not sure) about the hooded man theories and it prompted me to start this thread

Every single time that I click on this thread, I am hopeful that you guys will be talking about the official release date for Winds.

One day it will happen. One day...

My money says a new TOOL album will be released before the Winds of Winter.

Alt Shift X: The Three Eyed Crow’s Plan

I have to say, I have never thought of Euron and Bloodraven being connected. Euron has always been the most mysterious character to me on where he fits into all this (with the possible exception of Arya). Was his only role to give Dany’s ships, or maybe steal a dragon, or maybe invade Oldtown and Aegon come to its relief? But his connection to Bloodraven brings it full circle and explains his insanity.

I’m going to respectfully disagree with Alt Shift X and still go with Bloodraven being evil in the books. There is something horribly wrong about him as well as his abode. At best he’s been brainwashed by the Children to reawaken the Others, and at worst is doing it intentionally. Regardless, my Crackpot theory is that Euron is a disciple of his and he’s promised Euron to be his successor. I fully believe Euron that he has been to Valyria and survived in order to gather weapons that could be useful against Dany’s dragons, and that towards the end of Winds of Winter, Euron will take Viserion as his own. He will also fight alongside the Others in the final book.

Bloodraven is not the Three-Eyed Crow, IMO. Watch the Order of the Green Hand's video on this. I do think that Euron is a pawn of the TEC, as well as an unwitting Bran most likely, but Bloodraven is his own thing I believe.

I think your Euron arc sounds about right. He's setting up quite well to be the next betrayer of humanity a la the original Night's King.

I know it sucks the book isn't ready, but I really enjoyed my reread when I did it a few years back. I remember the first time I read Clash, I had no recollection of Stannis. I was thinking this dude came out of nowhere. On my reread of AGOT, I realized they mentioned him probably 50 different times. I felt like an idiot.

Martin posting cryptic shite on his blog (YES, IT IS A frickING BLOG, YOU SHITHEAD) is a great opportunity for me to bump this thread and remind the world how much I hate him.
