It looks like a logo you would get to pick from when you create your team on Madden... it fits in perfectly with all the XFL logos!

Someone made a patch, stitched it on a hat, and posted to reddit for the karma. At least I hope that's the case.

As a little kid, it was the logo on their helmets that made me a fan. The new logo just looks stupid.
