So you mean to tell me that the situation deescalated once he did what the officer was telling him to do? Interesting. I’ll have to remember that just in case.

Officer showed huge restraint. When he got back in that vehicle, he could have grabbed a gun, or used the vehicle as a weapon, endangering others, etc. The guy is very lucky he didn’t get shot, and rightfully so...

I wish I could upvote the OMG Woman that's taking the video, just for holding her phone properly.

So 1. Good for that officer not escalating further than the dummy made them. 2. Guy is an idiot for not cooperating but he didn't try to beat up the cop or anything so I assume he can recover from this poor judgement.

The title of the article should mention he was "resisting arrest".

Breeland was loaded out of his mind. He's lucky being wasted didn't cost him his life.

Sad he just can't listen. His stupidity caused him to view a pistol pointed at him. It doesn't what was going on, once the cops say turn around and getting cuffs, you ain't changing their mind, right or wrong. Just follow the commands and let your lawyer get it straight.

I mean, it ought to be legal, but WTF. Was he trying to get shot? That cop honestly handled about as well as that idiot could have hoped for.

What a dumbass. Good way to get rightfully smoked. You don’t get in the car and out your hands down behind the door where the officer can see them. Lucky he’s not dead. .

What a fool? He's lucky the officer didn't run out of patience with him. Just cooperate. He escalated the situation. Lucky he wasn't seriously hurt or shot.

Two things: 1) Breeland is an idiot who’s lucky he didn’t get shot. 2) The looks like a poor attempt at an arrest.

Maybe but I would doubt a typical officer is gonna have much luck man handling a freakish athlete like Breeland. Short of tasing him or shooting home that officer was completely and utterly outmatched.

Against the wrong person that cop could have ended up dead, she definitely should have tased him and it took her way too long to cuff him once she started trying.

The officer, being quite aware that she was way outmatched by Breeland, was controlling the situation until backup arrived... which she did. She kept herself and Breeland out of harm without escalating the situation.
