Which is more troublesome: a $485,000 watch…or somebody willing to buy it?

you think there's a bit of a markup on that price? Unless it's made with 5 pounds of gold and a lot of diamonds, that manufacturer is stealing from ole Tom.

I'd rather see a rich person wearing a $20 Timex

yep. Warren Buffett drives an old Buick and lives in his same old house in Omaha. (at least that was the case years ago).

It's not about what you can afford. Brady can afford almost anything. I can afford a lot of things I won't buy, because I think it's a wasteful purchase. I don't mind spending money, but I hate wasting it. And buying a half million dollar watch is wasteful.

Never heard of the brand. It must really be exclusive and not some run of the mill Richard Mille or Philip Patake

When you have that type of money that is just an investment at that point. Those watches rarely devalue.

What's the point of making all that money if you dont spend it on what you like? Buffet has $150 billion, he can buy whatever house and car he wants and never has to worry about going broke. IMO he's a dumbass to not enjoy his wealth.

Aint a watch on earth worth that.

Could have bought a whole fleet of jacked up trucks with giant truck nuts on the bumper, and a bed full of iced down yetis. But hey to each his own

That watch has more personality than he does.

That watch is a crazy purchase but it won’t lose much value at all and will probably be worth more in a few years. That’s not neat as dumb as some car purchases

And on tonight's episode of "Please Rob Me"...

Hmmh ... I recall reading somewhere he received this particular watch as a gift for his Netflix roast.

I would say bad invest but I am sure if he needed to resell it he would get a ton..plus he has to worth over 250 mill so that is change for him.

S says that's the kind of cheap shite his butler wears.

There’s no way that watch brings $485,000 of enjoyment to his life. I feel I could take 1% of that cost, and experience much more joy than he finds in that $485k watch. Your phone accomplishes what that watch does.
user avatar
Tom has what is known as F@#& YOU money and he doesn't give F@#$ what you think the enjoyment of his life that watch brings him.
user avatar
Why do you care?
user avatar
How do you put a monetary value on how much an item brings joy to another person‘s life? That man is next level wealthy and can easily afford. Nice watches like that. Who are you to decide how much joy it does, or doesn’t, bring to his life?
