Navy fired longtime head coach Ken Niumatalolo over the weekend. More specifically right after Navy's loss to Army while he was just sitting there...

All coaches know that getting fired is a commonplace occurrence in their profession. He’s beat the odds and lasted 15 years at Navy and was not underpaid. The AD probably could have handled it better. If I were the Coach, I wouldn’t have shared the story. I don’t know how it got out but it reflects badly on the AD.

Coaches fire players after a bad practice by burying them on the depth chart. Deion fired he incumbents by telling them to hit the portal.

Guy got complacent. Navy has been trending downward for years. If you're unwilling to throw you have literally no chance of success in D1

“You always did it the right way.”

Well, I mean, it’s not like the service academies are able to cheat.

Agreed. On top of that, he made $2mm a year. We aren't talking about a guy making $15 an hour supporting a family of 5.

Too much importance is given to "how" a coach is fired. It doesn't really matter. Maybe the AD and/or the coach weren't going to be back on campus the next few days so the AD had to do it at the stadium. Who cares? The coach had to know this was coming.

Man y'all acting like this guy has 5 national championships under his belt. 4 winning seasons in the last 8 years? The last 3 don't even have 5 wins. He's going to be ok.

When you're the winningest HC at Navy, you should have a lifetime contract.

Knowing the military today they will probably hire a transgender HC.

That’s BS. Idk who they think will do better there. Fire the goat Navy coach to replace him with some numb nuts who won’t win nearly as many games.
