CBS Sports has named Michigan the best one in all of college sports in its annual “Best in College Sports”...
quote:

"Michigan had quite the year athletically. The football team bounced back under coach Jim Harbaugh to finish 12-2 and earn a trip to the College Football Playoff, completing its best season since 2011. Men's basketball (19-15) reached the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament, while women's basketball (25-7) reached the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament. Wrestling (12-1) finished as the NCAA runner-up, and men's gymnastics (24-3) finished third nationally."

They should be ranked somewhere between 11 to 34.

Lol, go ahead and give them a trophy for it since they won’t be receiving an actual one.

They give points for hockey? Most/all SEC schools don't have hockey programs. Might as well give the west coast schools points for that gay quidditch stuff too.

North Dakota State won more than most of them.

.5 National Champoinships in football the past 3 decades. I think their definition of 'best' id, well soft. At best.

Football, Mens and Womens basketball, track, and baseball. That should make up the majority of the point system with football and basketball taking most of the points. All the rest of the sports should have a way smaller point value.

Is this like Tennessee winning the off season or their Life Champions thing? At least half on the list are a joke especially if they are thinking Wrestling and Men's Gymnastics.

This list is probably why outside college and NFL football no one cares what CBS has to say, or even watches anything on CBS.

Yea exactly. I’m sure you never watch NFL games

Are they giving the same weight to indoor track as they do football?

i hate it when we "win" these types of things. they already have the directors cup. should just go with that. would make sense if they're talking about best academic/athletic combo.

It's like a person was told that hasn't watched a sport in their life to come up with a list. Whoever came up with that should lose all credibility.

And men’s gymnastics? Oof

Including wrestling invalidates their list imho.

So the best school in college sports didn’t win a single national championship. Makes sense.

Right...and only one of the top 10 schools won a title in one of the big 3 major sports. Okay CBS.
