How many top 5 finishes would Oklahoma have if they were always in the SEC?

Bingo. Nowhere near 33.

They won a national title in 2020...

No, really? Hadn't heard.

Obviously Saban knew he had a loaded team and did whatever he thought he needed to do to hold it altogether during the 2020 summer of BS. The optics were embarrassing...not because he was supporting his players, but because the entire thing was based on a lie.

Low point of his career. Prime Saban was officially gone once he let Najee Harris rope him into that BS.

QB is definitely even more important...but I'd like to see some 4-5 stars on the OL and DL. I know it's a smaller class for various reasons, but we still need to win in the trenches.
I just read an article that said the victims had nothing to do with the robbery...and that Arnold not only had it live streamed to him, he actually showed up to the scene.

Dude is in some serious trouble...with no one but himself to blame.

The 2 Florida games in '99 were so fun

1999 was the only saving grace for me during my time on campus...thank God for that SEC championship year...because it was a literal miracle to win it with DuBose. Still managed to lose to La Tech...which made beating Spurrier and Florida twice in one season even more shocking. Low light of Steve's career lol.

Only retarded Democrats.
Shaun was an excellent ambassador for Alabama football.

There was a time when only he and Chris Samuels were the Bama guys doing anything of note in the NFL.

Plus he's just a really good human being.
'98 BYU opening game at expanded BDS always stands out when Shaun set a record, I think, with 5 TDs.
Just played in the SECCG and won a playoff game. Most recent recruiting signing class was top 3.

90% of the SEC would kill for our irrelevance.

Don't cry for us Argentina.

these kids can't see beyond the next 1-2 years and whatever money they can make in the short term

True...but I also think it extends to coaches and admins...they're all making so much money that they don't care about the overall future health of college athletics. Maybe CNS and anyone working to pass legislation do, but current stakeholders are only worried about the here and now. They figure they can milk it for as long as they can and then retire. A coach making $13 million a year isn't worried about the future of the game...at least it's way down their personal priority list.

I was a guy that thought players should have gotten a % cut of licensing revenues that was held in trust until graduation or they left school. But what player pay has become...combined with the transfer portal...it's just nauseating.
Of course, none of us are forced to financially support the insanity.

A cabin in the mountains is sounding better and better.

College football isn't important enough for donations.

This.

I already donate just for the privilege of getting to buy season tickets.

The Lamborghini of choice of kids playing with a ball isn't high on my priority list. It's not exactly pediatric cancer research at St Jude's.

At one point recently we were considering property in the Tuscaloosa area for a 2nd home...maybe even a retirement location...kinda thinking we'd retire and enjoy Bama sports even after our kid graduates.

But all this BS has made us rethink committing that kind of money when our interest in college sports is declining. It's still there...not giving up season tickets anytime soon, but there is definitely a noticeable decline because of what they've done to college athletics. 5 years from now...unless they make big changes...we may be reevaluating the season tickets as well.
They did what they had to do to get there...hats off there.

But being outscored 20-2...doesn't get much uglier than that.
Yes, they're better teams.

But Bama has been so far from competitive in Omaha it probably wouldn't have mattered.

At least they scored a run.

No back to back shutouts for us bitches! Winning.
They lost to WV at the very end...beat Ole Miss...have fought the entire time.

Bama has not even looked remotely competitive at any point after the first pitch in Omaha.
Troy looks so much more competitive than we do. Next game is likely their last, but they've been competitive the entire time.

Bama has gone down faster than a $5 crack whore.
At this point I just want them to score a run before heading home. Embarrassing showing...the definition of "just happy to be there."
2007 Bama vs Georgia

Stafford OT TD won it. Sucked because it ended so suddenly on their first OT play after we'd taken the lead.
