re: Most dangerous places in SEC country New Orleans, Memphis or Walker County Alabama?
Posted by Chad4Bama on 4/17/24 at 7:22 pm
Please name an awful place to live in S Carolina and why.
I would say the closest city to Charlotte NC...but it probably is pretty nice getting the flight out of Charlotte.
I was going to say Greenville just because...but it's nothing like some of the shite holes being mentioned....

What do most of these places have in common?
Surprised Montgomery hasn't been mentioned. It's the Baton Rouge of Alabama. A woman last Friday was sitting at a red light in the middle of the day in not what is considered a bad part of town...was caught in the crossfire between two wastes of ox...
re: College Football Blue Bloods: Ranking The 25 Best Football Schools

Actual blue bloods:
1- Alabama
2- Ohio State
3- Oklahoma
4- Notre Dame
5- USC
Big Names, but no.
6- Michigan
7- Nebraska
8- Texas
9- Penn St
Then it starts getting jumbled with LSU, Miami, FSU, Tennessee, Florida.
Michigan hasn't won enough championships to be a true ...
re: Bama can’t afford to lose Ty Simpson
Posted by Chad4Bama on 4/15/24 at 4:49 pm
Let's don't pretend Milroe played a good game in the SECCG. Had a couple runs that sealed it towards the end, but it was not a great game. Same for the CFP. He can potentially be a lethal dual threat QB, but let's face it, he was kinda living off that 4th down pass vs auburn to win the Iron Bowl....
re: Bama can’t afford to lose Ty Simpson
Posted by Chad4Bama on 4/15/24 at 2:25 pm
Hopefully Ty Simpson is smart enough to know that even if he doesn't start this season, he'd likely be the leader to start in 2025.
Transferring to a lesser program instead of likely starting for one season at Alabama would be a terrible business decision. jmho...
re: Congrats to former bammer DeVonta Smith on his contract extension with the Eagles
Posted by Chad4Bama on 4/15/24 at 2:21 pm
In fairness to Chase, he hung around during August practices and didn't opt out until it was clear how shitty 2020 LSU was going to be. Children's hospital funds were exhausted in *2019....
The SEC doesn't have 5. They have 3. Bama, Texas and OU
The SEC has 2. Texas isn't a blue blood. They're 1 tier below with Michigan.
1- Alabama
2- Ohio St
3- Oklahoma
4- Notre Dame
5- USC

re: When are they going to change the name of Bryant Denny Stadium to Saban Stadium?
Posted by Chad4Bama on 4/13/24 at 9:31 pm
Denny was a university president decades ago that was instrumental in the development of the football program.
I have no problem changing it to Bryant -Saban Stadium...the 2 greatest coaches in the history of the game.
Denny still has Denny Chimes, which is a centerpiece of campus. ...
re: Does Ashley Judd approve of the hire?
Ashley kinda fell off.
That's an understatement. She fell off the back of a pickup going 70 mph face first.
Liberalism destroyed a once beautiful woman...and maybe age played a part too lol....

Then the rest of the state should have turned out to elect a decent governor. ...
re: Tide Hoops | 25-12 (13-5)
Posted by Chad4Bama on 4/12/24 at 12:04 am
Is he definitely gone or just entering the portal to see what kind of offers he gets and weigh if it's worth leaving Bama?
I really hate what the transfer portal has done. Players now are just hired guns. Sad what it's done to collegiate athletics....
re: Tide Hoops | 25-12 (13-5)

Alabama replaced Saban when it was still the top program in the country... and got the coach that just had his team in the NC game.
This is more like the time Bama hired former player Mike Shula... except our fans were generally supportive of that hire at the time....
If a program had him pegged as their starter from day one then I would think a good NIL would be had
I don't see a major program with big NIL money doing that when he's never started at Bama. And whatever a Tulane or Arkansas State type program would offer wouldn't be worth giving...

Bucky McMillan at Samford? A rising star! Should have beaten Kansas….
Somebody will snatch up Bucky next year.
Yep. I think Samford has a good team returning so he'll have another solid season. If so, someone will grab him next year. Hopefully it's not auburn after ...

Even if Milroe is the starter, Simpson would be the presumed clear leader to start in 2025.
I wouldn't think he'd command a big NIL deal at this point if he entered the portal...at least not enough to give up being the starter at Alabama for a season. That's all it takes to make the NFL...one st...

re: Top 178 (all "power" conference teams with UCF at #178) Historical Basketball Programs
Posted by Chad4Bama on 4/9/24 at 11:01 am
UCLA has won 2 NCs in the last half century.
Definitely a blue blood obviously, but they're really living off those Wooden years. Before my time so I wonder how they were so dominant during the mid 60s to mid 70s. What the heck were the other blue bloods doing during that period to let them jus...
re: College Basketball Program Rankings
Posted by Chad4Bama on 4/9/24 at 9:17 am
Ranking based solely on NCAAT success... so overall wins, conference titles, etc aren't factored in...but let's face it, NCAAT success is really how people measure a program. Bama has won the SEC many times, but this Final Four year will be considered our best season ever even without a conference ...
