A new study is saying that climate change is the new steroids, giving hitters an advantage depending where they are and when. Per Associated Press...
quote:

Climate change is making major league sluggers into even hotter hitters, sending an extra 50 or so home runs a year over the fences, a new study found.

Hotter, thinner air that allows balls to fly farther contributed a tiny bit to a surge in home runs since 2010, according to a statistical analysis by Dartmouth College scientists published in Friday’s Bulletin of the American Meteorological Society. They analyzed 100,000 major league games and more than 200,000 balls put into play in the last few years along with weather conditions, stadiums and other factors.

“Global warming is juicing home runs in Major League Baseball,” said study co-author Justin Mankin, a Dartmouth climate scientist.

It’s basic physics.

This completely ignores the relatively stagnant number of home runs in the minors and other foreign leagues. Clown show.

Greta also told me that man made climate change is the reason Larry subjects us to daily doses of Gracie Hunt.

Sports fans must be the last stronghold of Deniers so the Banksters/Elites/Deep State etc., has targeted us with this fiction. Expect more to come.

The truth is that the earth is warming a bit but it's because of the area of the galaxy that we're now going thru. The galaxy rotates like a hurricane, of course, and this area is a bit closer to other stars/suns and that's the cause. Period. Don't buy the fear they're pushing.

I figured they'd blame white priveledge since no more black people play baseball.

Right, because hitters haven't significantly emphasized exit velocity and launch angle over the last ten years. I guess climate change had an impact of the lowering batting averages too?
Not to mention MLB's constant pursuit to annually screw with the baseballs to make them more or less lively.

What a hilarious lie.

Last year there were 5,212 HR between both leagues. 50 HR “caused by climate change” would equate to less than 1% of HR balls hit.

Climate is always changing. Has anyone even studied geology on the left? The only weird thing would be if the climate weren’t changing. It’s been a lot hotter, and a lot colder, than it is right now on this planet. Oh yea, and carbon dioxide levels have been a lot higher too. You know what happens with high CO2? Unbelievable plant growth. Seems like a good thing to me.

and CO2 makes up only about 0.04% of the atmosphere. That's 4/100's of 1%. Tiny, tiny fraction. Even if it doubled, it'd still be a tiny, tiny fraction. And the vast majority of "emissions" each year is caused by nature, not man. This is all a massive con for more government control. Simple as that.

Blaming home run frequency on climate change would be like me stubbing my toe and blaming it on Obama.

Climate change has nothing to do with home run rates in baseball. Period.

The fact that this needs to be pointed out and isn’t satire is disheartening.

The professor who made those statements is simply a political operative masquerading as a scientists and should be laughed out of their institution.
