Mississippi State is changing the game, now allowing fans to let their tailgating continue inside the stadium with new seats that allow them to bring in coolers. Per HailState.com...
quote:

Again, it's a spot where the tailgate never really has to stop. Those who enjoy the Balconies at Davis Wade Stadium will be allowed to service their area prior to gameday like other premium areas in the venue. As in other spots, there will be storage space allowing you the ability to bring in your favorite beverages and food items during balcony servicing times. You can also cater in food using MSU's premium caterers at an additional cost, but it's not required. Additionally, you will be provided access to a limited number of pre-packaged bags of ice just steps away from your Balcony during servicing time or on game day, your choice.

Each Balcony will also have electrical outlets. Want to bring your own private refrigerator to keep your drinks cold for those warmer early-season games? Done.

Bring in a 55" TV too.

Great idea. Coolers on wheels are a must though. That would be a tough tote otherwise.

One way to get people to stay for the whole game. Cool.

Not sure about the refrigerator part, but most NASCAR tracks have allowed soft-sided coolers to be brought in (with food and alcohol) for decades and there are generally no major incidents and they still manage to sell plenty of concessions. I could see this catching on pretty quickly at other places if it gets people to show up and stay the whole game.

Watch a Red Sox vs Yankees game. The fights at those will be like Sunday School picnics compared with Rednecks with full coolers of cold cheap beer!
They may as well let the band sit at halftime and just watch the “bouts” in the stands!!

Actually Miss St never had a problem with them showing up. But they do leave before halftime. This is to make them stay longer.

They need to outlaw those stupid bells
user avatar

Nah they aren’t hurting anybody. 50k bells is not louder than 100k people actually yelling.

I prefer the bells to that damn whistler.
