Georgia AD Josh Brooks Releases Statement To Address LSU Job Speculation

Georgia Athletics Director Josh Brooks released a statement on Friday night to address the speculation and reports that link him to the AD job at LSU.

Brooks, a Hammond, La., native and LSU alum, says he has "not been contacted by anyone at LSU, and has no interest in any other job."

Georgia fans — with success often comes speculation, but I want to address it directly. I have not been contacted by anyone at LSU, and more importantly, I have no interest in any other job. My full focus remains on the University of Georgia, our student-athletes, coaches, staff, and fans.

I am very fortunate to work alongside President Morehead, the Athletic Association Board, Governor Brian Kemp, and the Board of Regents, who share a deep commitment to excellence and to the success of Georgia Athletics.

This is home to me, and I’m honored to play a part in the incredible progress we’ve made together. The best days for Georgia Athletics are still ahead, and I look forward to continuing to build on the championship standard we’ve established here in Athens. Let’s go have some fun in Jacksonville! Go Dawgs!

Josh Brooks is right in the middle of building a new state of the art track and field complex. He just finished building a state of the art softball at a cost of 38 million.

Since January, Georgia has won:
National Championship - Women's Indoor Tennis
National Championship - Women's Outdoor Track
National Championship - Women's Outdoor Tennis
National Championship - Equestrian

But more importantly, the State of Georgia currently has a 14 billion dollar budget surplus.
