I love LSU, I love big time sports and I want to win as much as anybody but holy hell this is getting a little out of hand when each player needs there on bed in the locker room.

the word but negates everything you say before it

Still will be an 8 win season. Nothing like a locker room that encourages sleeping and sitting on you arse and relaxing. While y'all are relaxing and sleeping Bama will be in the gym putting in work.

Seriously question...where do the jersey and pads hang? I guess the pod can fit the pads, but it’s normal to have the jersey hanging behind the player. I guess they drape them over the back of the chair. Seems like they would have installed something above to hang stuff. Either way that locker room is remarkable. I love it! I’m sure it’ll be a huge selling point to recruits.

I'm good with anything that helps with recruiting and this definitely will.

I don't understand, why would you want to sleep in your locker room? Does lsu football practice include nap time?

Safe to assume you were not a college athlete. Class ends at lets say 10:30 practice starts at 1:00, Go get lunch at the nutrition center, study some plays in your locker and catch a quick 45 min-hour nap. Wake up 12:30 get ready for practice. Now try doing this when you have to drive/walk 30minutes both ways back to your apartment/dorm.

What 101205 said is exactly correct. Athletes need rest/sleep to recover. The better they recover between training sessions, the better they can perform at their next training session... and when an athlete is able to consistently train at a high level, they put themselves in position to being a better competitor. That hour will make a difference.

And yet another example of the multi-million dollar college football industry taking advantage of mistreated and uncompensated student-athletes.

so mistreated. poor babies.

Please go pull for another team, if that offends you LSU dosent need your support. The Players get a FREE education and a degree, thats more compensation than myself or most get.

Obviously, some people don't recognize satire, even when it slaps them in the face.

Why am I not shocked by the negative comments made about this awesome locker room? Go cheer for the Saints or the NBA if this bothers you!

A recruit is about to flip... welcome aboard...

If a recruit comes to your school over a fricking locker room then you deserve that recruit. The real recruits that come to a school to play football and win championships don't care about BS like this.

Damn, we could've funneled these dollars into something useful, like...a sideline injury tent. Ya know, like, for vaginal tears and what-not.

Really? Who is ever going to want to lie down and nap in the locker room?
user avatar
You must have never played football in any major capacity. Locker room naps were the best naps and also very necessary.

Here we go with the "you must have never played BS".... Yes I played for 11 years and this locker room "Cold War" has reached the point of lunacy.

It may be over the top, but recruits will eat it up. This ain't your daddy's game anymore. If you want to be in the playoffs, then have an NFL quality facility. This probably does that.

Extravagant and wasteful. College athletics is out of control.

It is extravagant I agree but it’s something that may help with recruiting. Don’t think Bama, Georgia and the rest aren’t constantly doing upgrades. LSU has to keep up. This football program is a lifeline for every sport at LSU
