Can we just get another college football game from ea sports please? This way I won’t have to edit every player, the names will already be in the game.

“You’re an LSU alumni” No!!!! Unless there are more than one of her she is an alumna. If there were more of her she would be an alumnae. You are a professional commentator. Act and speak like it!!

I mean why stay somewhere you cant sell your likeness? All that money you can make in merch you'd be stupid to not go. All the good kids will be there too.

NCAA needs to jump in and regulate this. Need the playing field to stay even.

Just the opposite Lolo if you ever follow economics & finance which they don't teach much in public schools. If & when this ever happens when athletes will see the high tax rates in Calif when they get their 1099's and flock to other low tax rate states.

Except that most of those kids will be coming from public schools.

She’s absolutely right because kids will be flocking to Cali to get paid the PAC 12 will become the new powerhouse & now the state Florida is following suite with the same bill. This is gonna get ugly for recruiting

Please start a minor league for football. That way college football can go back to what it was intended to be.

First, following something passed by a governing body in California is usually a poor choice. Second, do not be fooled into thinking this is about an altruistic stance made to help or serve those who can make money off of their likeness. California sees this and all of the other money to be made if this decision holds, as other potential revenue streams for the state through taxes. Once again, it’s about money...and not really money for who it appears to be for.

This whole California passed the bill so the whole world has to is non sense, all the pac 12 schools were against it. They’re not going to pay, the ncaa won’t allow you to play. This is a moot point!

If the school or the NCAA tries to make a player ineligible for claiming their legal right (in California) to monetize their likeness, the player has legal grounds to sue them. The NCAA knows this (the schools won't enforce it and risk suit) and will have to adapt or die.

There is a pretty good video explaining all this on youtube. Talks about what the NCAA can and cant do and also what the states and schools can and cant do. This could get real ugly for one side of the other by 2023.
