re: This year is starting to feel like 2011 - ForeverLSU16
I remember 2011...that whole season, I felt great...until it turned into 2012, then my feelings changed. I, along with most of our fanbase, have been in therapy ever since. Naturally, I think the only cure is another National Championship...or at least beating Alabama...then, I will feel great...

Offensive Lines Versus Defensive Lines - ForeverLSU16
After watching college football over the past few years, it seems whether it be due to the increasing use of spread principles on the offensive side of the ball and the need to find new and creative ways to pressure the quarterback or simply because the better athletes are being turned into defensiv...

re: Who was the worst substitute teacher you had in school? - ForeverLSU16
Senior year: English Our teacher was in and out and evidently in the middle of a mental breakdown...and we saw some serious evidence in class, but we were treated to one unique substitute who had some interesting views on how to live as a human. She decided one day when we were working on our ...

re: How many grown men would it take to physically restrain a gorilla? - ForeverLSU16
Not looking through 14 pages, but...I did read once that a full grown gorilla could bench press 6,000 pounds. So, let’s keep the gorilla population in the jungles and not playing human or we are extinct....

re: Remember when the Student Section used to be courtside? - ForeverLSU16
When I was there, during the last two of Shaq’s years and beyond, it was awesome to be on the side and down on the floor. Of course, after many years of drought and no look of a return to any prominence, it seems logical that attendance would wain. I really do believe that the students who...

re: 10 Years Ago Today: #9 Florida @ #1 LSU - ForeverLSU16
I was asked by a former student and his dad if I wanted to go to the game...I jumped at the chance. We made the trip from Austin...had a great time tailgating and walking my former student (a Gator fan) around campus. He was Tiger-baited by grandma and grandpas, four year old girls and sorority ...

re: This is about more than a football coach. Our school is sick. - ForeverLSU16
I am so glad this is becoming more publicly discussed or recognized as opposed to the conversations by tailgates before games. Spend time with any professor who has been invested in the university for a while and they have been watching this general sickness growing over the last decade. It is...

re: Reflecting the Coach or Leader - ForeverLSU16
Yeah, I agree that he will be around for at least another year...and what is unfortunate for him, is he will really take all of this very personally, but should not have been put in this position in the first place....

Reflecting the Coach or Leader - ForeverLSU16
Any organization or team reflects its leadership. No amount of the best coordinators or vice-presidents can replace or cover up the influence of the person at the top. Saban's teams reflect Saban...tough minded and smart. Miles' teams reflected him...tough and committed, but a bit goofy and one...

re: History lesson on 90s football? - ForeverLSU16
Practice...to answer the challenge... The kicking practice was careless. No one truly worked on anything concerning technique or situations. It was just lazy walking around with a few hits of the ball here and there. The other parts of practice were uninspired and listening to the instructio...

re: History lesson on 90s football? - ForeverLSU16
I had friends on the team that asked me to go out and punt, because I played soccer. At that time the punter was Chad Kessler. He had come in as a big time recruit, but was underperforming big time. So, I went out to practice...that was all I needed to see. It was a mess. It was so obvious wh...

re: Spread or Pro - what would you rather see LSU run? - ForeverLSU16
I do not understand why in the modern age of football, and with the talent we are able to recruit, why we cannot find an offensive coordinator that is committed to blending and using aspects of both. There are so many creative things possible on the offensive side of the ball. That being sai...

re: LSU - Leadership and Vision at Every Level - ForeverLSU16
The idea that we can build academic success and university success off of athletic success is exactly what Alabama is doing. We need a new visionary leader like Emmert to infuse the demand and direction to build the university back. ...
