According to this tweet from Matt Trent of WBRZ, it sounds like Ed Orgeron was bringing “girlfriends” to practice and was letting their kids participate in some of the drills.

Now, what Coach O wants to do in his personal life is completely up to him. But when a team is struggling as badly as LSU has over the last two seasons, this is probably not the kind of thing you need at practice...

Coach O downfall, after 2019 he started chasing young women and got a divorce from his wife of 24 years instead of coaching football. A 60 year old man chasing 20 year women is foolish and desperate.

Theses women are far older than 20 and he probably isn’t doing the chasing of these “innocent” little darlins’.

LSU was undefeated that year, but you know what else is undefeated? yep, a tale as old as time.

I’m glad we’re moving on but I don’t assume this and the hitting on the woman at the gas station is true. If it is, that’s very disappointing because I want to like him.

I think we owe a world of gratitude to Coach O for his tenacity and his efforts in getting us to a national championship. With that said, I don't think Coach handled success so well. I think he felt like he reached the mountain top and he kind of lost focus on the football team. Sure, he lost lots of players to the NFL draft but all teams go through this, especially the successful ones. His personal life became his priority instead of focusing on the job of head coach at LSU. He made terrible hires that cost the university and produced only embarrassment to the purple and gold. And he admitted that he wasn't too involved in selecting those coaches. He misjudged the ability of the O-Line early on and had no indication that Emory was failing. Yes, give him his money and let him don his white shrimp boots and reminisce how he took the Tigers to the top but failed to follow up!

Everyone knows that if this were true, there would have been some “reporter” posting pics of it just to get their rocks off. When this report initially came out, ZVR said it wasnt true.

It may be true but to what degree. Rumor, innuendo, and speculation is all there is at this point. I feel for the next head coach. He better be able to walk on water.

More hit jobs from LSU because the optics look bad to the outside...

The real travesty is that Woodward still has a job.

How do the optics look bad? No one even expected O to have the job this long, probably not even himself if he's being honest with himself. However, you can't do some of the things he did when you're a head football coach at a school as prominent in the sport as LSU. Also, you could clearly see the teams regression happening before your eyes. It's like after the championship, his priorities changed. Not only that, he had made some terrible hires and it appears not very many coaches want to work for him. I think it's not a reach to say it's partially because he's meddling in things he said he wouldn't. Also, he should have got rid of James Cregg after his first or second year. That's probably the thing that hurt O the most, his loyalty to Cregg. The guy was a shite OL coach and an even worse recruiter. I don't even know if there's a starter, or even decent backup player, on the team that Cregg was the primary recruiter for. There's also the lack of him taking responsibility for the direction the team was going. He would constantly throw players under the bus. Which, that's not a good look when the coaching has been as bad as it has the last couple of years. There's a lot more things that you can point to as to why O doesn't have a job and I wouldn't say that any of them have the optics of making LSU look bad. Woodward gave O the rope and he hung himself with it. And, don't be fooled, a lot of it is because of his off the field issues. LSU football has been under a microscope because of all the allegations surrounding the program. The last thing you need in that situation is your head coach, who's probably in a role with essentially as much influence as the LA governor because of how our state functions, being a playa and potentially opening up the university to more scrutiny and even more lawsuits. I believe LSU could have let him go with cause and not have to pay him anything, but I think it's best the way they're doing it. And, they probably are releasing some things. Maybe it didn't go down exactly like this report is saying, which I'll add I think somewhere this story for fricked up or exaggerated some, but I do think there's a lot he was doing that is probably similar to things like this report, minus all the kids doing drills. That just seems like some telephone game bullshite.
