SEC Network Graphic Shows What Conference Alignment Could Look Like With Texas & Oklahoma

The talk of College Football right now is the report that dropped on Wednesday that Texas and Oklahoma are looking to leave the Big 12 to join the SEC.

On Thursday, the SEC Network put up a graphic showing what the potential alignment could look like if the two teams joined the conference.

The SEC, which would be turning into a super conference, would consist of 4 pods/divisions. LSU would be in a pod with Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M, according to the graphic.

Pod A: Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina
Pod B: Alabama, Auburn, Tennesee, Vanderbilt
Pod C: LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Texas A&M
Pod D: Arkansas, Missouri, Texas, Oklahoma

Texas and TAMU need to play every year... bottom line... Texas/OK/TAMU/ and either Mizzu or Ark in one pod... LSU should be in with Both Miss schools period... and honestly Ark should be the 4th... we play for the Boot... Texas/OK/TAMU/Missouri LSU/Miss St/ Ole Miss/ Ark Bama/Tenn/Auburn/Vandy Georgia/Florida/SC/Kentucky

Texas and Texas A&M should be in the same pod. The schools are historic rivals and separated by 1 hour drive. A&M in the same pod with Ole Miss and MSU makes zero sense. There is no history or rivalry here just a 14 hour drive.

Hate adding the two teams. But I will be actually shocked if the SEC does not take them. Texas would instantly have the largest endowment in the SEC by a mile. And Oklahoma would be one of the biggest. Texas will have imploded 2 conferences of they do this (SWC and Big 12) The SEC should not let them in just to come bully our conference with that endowment like they have in the past.

This alignment is dumb. Should be more geographic IMO. Swap A&M with Mizz. And out Bama, Auburn with FL and GA. So strong. Then put Tenn schools with USC and UK. That would be perfect.

I think he's just trying to have at least 2 "good teams" in each pod. TAM would be better with D and Arky in pod C.
