Don’t always know all the facts of the situation, but the general idea of leaving your teammates to focus on yourself doesn’t sit right.

If you had a chance to earn millions and set your family and generations to come up for life where 1 fluke injury could end it all for you, you'd do the same thing.

It's so easy to say otherwise when you aren't in that situation.

Not may NFL players are set for generational wealth. Would love to see the stats of high projected players getting hurt in bowl games.

If you have getting hurt on your mind...you WILL get hurt sooner or later. That's a universal law (what you fear you bring near)...like gravity.

I'd like to see data on how many guys opt out of bowls for this reason and how soon & how often that they got hurt in the NFL. I bet it's higher than those that played.

Can we just start calling this “quit the team”?

The coach bails, our QB bails, that's gotta be a kick in the nuts for the rest of the guys...especially those who this will be their final football game ever.

Yeah. Sound familiar? They can't even beat us at that, mudman. We actually had 2 QB's who didn't want to play in the Bowl game.

He started looking at film for the LSU game. He saw HP40. He said, "I think I'll pass." =)

Another example of the worst part of the game. Opt outs, the portal, NIL are destroying CFB.

Can’t blame him. He don’t want that HP40 smoke right before the combine

Can work with Drew for a few weeks but opts out. Idiot

He may not want to work under and Drew Brees. I wouldn’t want to either. There are a lot of GREAT QB coaches out there, that stay out of politics. Drew was a great QB, nobody knows if he would be a good QB coach.

Gumpland- Brees answered a question in a yahoo finance interview. The answer got overblown and he did what he had to do to appease his racist teammates and play his final season.

He knew LSU would expose his weaknesses.

This guy isn’t going to the NFL. He is just scared to play us. I don’t blame him.

The line will be 23 points by game time.

Their 2nd String about to look like a Heisman contender in true LSU fashion

Maybe if they wouldn't have 43 bowl games that they have to break their own rules to fill every damn year. How about 25ish. On the other hand, more football to watch, even if its terrible teams.

If we don’t beat Purdue - this will give the dissenters a ton of ammo
user avatar
CDawson30 months
Haven’t you noticed? The dissenters don’t need Ammon to be insufferable, negative, drains on anything good in life.

why even play the game? no one seems to care about it

I hate this bullshite answer. This is the last game for some of these guys. Last time they tie their cleats, last time to ever put on a helmet and shoulder pads, etc. Get out there and play for your "brothers" like everyone loves to put on social media.

Bowl games should be mandatory.
user avatar
Damathe30 months
Put it in the NIL.
user avatar
Timeoday30 months
The athletic scholarship should be a contract. You get your education, you get a chance at some NIL money, but you must play when asked by the Coach every game.

A possible “solution” would be to play bowl games at the beginning of the season.
