LSU Sports - Gus Stark
LSU offensive tackle Dare Rosenthal has ented his name into the NCAA transfer portal after a violation of school policy, according to multiple sources.

If you were reading the Tiger Rant on Monday morning, you probably saw this news coming...

"LSU Compliance: Dare Rosenthal" - Posted by VolTiger13 on 6/28/21 at 11:01 am

Before this even starts… they are working to find a resolution to the issue, but there is a strong possibility that Dare Rosenthal has played his last snap at LSU. You can guess why I’m sure. And before any mods decide to delete this, yes I’m positive.

Edit: He is in the portal and it does not appear as if LSU will be able to find a resolution to the issue with compliance.
Rivals was first to report the news:

Rosenthal has faced other disciplinary measures in the past for violations of team rules, with the latest infraction likely to cost him ample time in the 2021 season, if he remains at LSU, according to a source.

Rosenthal played in six games for LSU last fall due to a Covid restricted season and other team rule violations. He only played in seven games in the 2019 season serving as a primary backup for current Washington Football Team starter Saahdiq Charles.

This is absolutely ridiculous. LSU kicks him out for failing drug tests. So he just transfers to another school and can play immediately. There is definitely something wrong with this whole drug test issue. There needs to be a standard that all SEC schools adhere to.

So a player can jump in the transfer portal to avoid a failed drug test suspension.... and be eligible to play an ANY other NCAA school. WTF??

Why have violations?

Exactly. What is the point?

Yes, that's fricked up, but the same organization is okay with men taking drugs and pretending to be women and compete as a woman. Why should you expect they would impose a penalty on a player failing a drug test?

They should not test for weed any more. Weed is legal in about half the states.

Stated another way: student-athletes can't stop breaking criminal laws for the 4 years they're in school!

If he goes somewhere else and weed is not an issue, something different needs to be done at LSU.

Like what? It’s illegal still in the state of Louisiana and throughout the ncaa. Last thing we need is violations for a dope head

You want a coach to be okay with his players using weed and alcohol? Regardless of state law, there have to be team rules in play.

It’s just comical that the same university that can’t properly handle title IX issues is swift to take action when weed is involved.

Denvertiger, I think you understand what he's saying. He lost a lot of money because of those decisions he made. Yes he's still making money but lost ground in the beginning of his career.
