LSU Sports - Gus Stark
LSU offensive tackle Dare Rosenthal has ented his name into the NCAA transfer portal after a violation of school policy, according to multiple sources.

If you were reading the Tiger Rant on Monday morning, you probably saw this news coming...

"LSU Compliance: Dare Rosenthal" - Posted by VolTiger13 on 6/28/21 at 11:01 am

Before this even starts… they are working to find a resolution to the issue, but there is a strong possibility that Dare Rosenthal has played his last snap at LSU. You can guess why I’m sure. And before any mods decide to delete this, yes I’m positive.

Edit: He is in the portal and it does not appear as if LSU will be able to find a resolution to the issue with compliance.
Rivals was first to report the news:

Rosenthal has faced other disciplinary measures in the past for violations of team rules, with the latest infraction likely to cost him ample time in the 2021 season, if he remains at LSU, according to a source.

Rosenthal played in six games for LSU last fall due to a Covid restricted season and other team rule violations. He only played in seven games in the 2019 season serving as a primary backup for current Washington Football Team starter Saahdiq Charles.

You know what passes me off, at LSU, we lose several guys over weed because our compliance are ridiculous on this. You know and I know every school has plenty of daily weed smokers and you never hear about this shite much anywhere else.

Got damn I must have been half asleep when I posted this. "You know what *pisses me off", "because our compliance *is ridiculous".

Spend a season in Athens, then get back to us.

From what I understand, LSU is one of the few schools that still test for it. Others don't if what was said on the local sports radio show was true.

If he goes somewhere else and weed is not an issue, something different needs to be done at LSU.

Like what? It’s illegal still in the state of Louisiana and throughout the ncaa. Last thing we need is violations for a dope head

You want a coach to be okay with his players using weed and alcohol? Regardless of state law, there have to be team rules in play.

I think he is from Ferriday so maybe Ole Miss, Moo State or Arky??? Hoping not Aggies or Bama. I forgot soulless Auburn. What a drag!

Damn this sucks, starting left tackle is gone. We have know choice but to start Max Johnson now, cuz Brennan gonna get killed on his blind side with no one to block as good as Rosenthal. Hope I'm wrong, Cam Wire you up next. Let's Geaux.

They should not test for weed any more. Weed is legal in about half the states.

Stated another way: student-athletes can't stop breaking criminal laws for the 4 years they're in school!

Plenty of it over there already. Bama just doesn't care. LSU compliance is a bunch of squares.

Denvertiger, I think you understand what he's saying. He lost a lot of money because of those decisions he made. Yes he's still making money but lost ground in the beginning of his career.
