LSU and ESPN officials are reportedly not happy with a segment that aired during the BYU game in which Clemson’s Dabo Swinney and Baylor’s Matt Rhule did their best impressions of head coach Ed Orgeron.

After the segment was aired, game commentators Brock Huard and Bob Wischusen added their impressions as well. Even sideline reporter Allison Williams did a live impression of Orgeron during the game as Coach O stood a just a few steps away.

During Wednesday's episode of the "Ed Orgeron Radio Show," coach was asked about the segment and said he's "proud to be Cajun. All I'm going to say."

They went overboard. Doin a bio of Coach O and having players do it is funny. But asking all these coaches to do it along with the segment during byu game was disrespectful imo

I thought the coaches doing it was pretty funny, but the commentators and the chick reporter were kind of mean- spirited and I see why LSU wouldn't like it. The guy who took out his pocket square was acting like a retard.

I was listening to the pregame show on radio yesterday and thought they were running a comedy bit with someone impersonating O. Turned out it was the real O. He is funnier than any of his lame impersonators.

I thought it was funny as hell...I do have to say however, that if these impressions were done of a black or Hispanic guy, there would be mass protests. Hats off to ESPN and LSU for showing their disapproval just like they would for any other ethnic group.

It might just be me, but I did not think there was nothing, at all, wrong with it. People get offended too easy.. Jesus! I think people actually like the way he talks, for the most part. His voice is unique, when people hear him for the first time, it's what catches their attention right away. Stop being softies.

You know, it's a hypothetical here... but if the grid went down in the US, Orgeron is the only one of all those people imitating him, that could actually survive based on his outdoor knowledge. All the hacks and coaches and reporters would be dying of starvation when they ran out of cocktail shrimp in their fridge. O would be netting buckets full of shrimp, catching barrels of specks, and eating like a true Cajun king. Let them imitate or "mock" him all they want, but when the cards fall he has the last laugh.

The cajun accent is very endearing and unique. I dont know why but for my whole life i have heard bad impressions of the accent. Its sad that the authentic accent is dying. So many people move South of I-10 and develop a fake one which I find ridiculous. I was raised in NLA so my speech sounds redneck but when people learn I am from LA they immediately call me a cajun. I have plenty of cajun ancestors but I do not identify as a cajun. I did find the piece to be in bad taste. Showing a few peers doing an impersonation is fine, they know O. All the ESPN retards doing one was wrong.
