LSU QUARTERBACK MYLES BRENNAN STEPS AWAY FROM FOOTBALL

BATON ROUGE – LSU quarterback Myles Brennan has decided to end his college football career, he announced on Monday.

“We are grateful to Myles for everything he has done for LSU Football.,” LSU coach Brian Kelly said. “Myles is a great leader who has made a tremendous impact on this program, and he has earned the respect of everyone here through his commitment and love for LSU.

“Myles has always embodied the traits required to fulfill our mission to graduate champions, and we have full confidence those traits will help him succeed at every step in his journey as he moves forward.”

Brennan, who was entering his sixth year with the Tigers, finishes his LSU career having played in 20 games with three starts. He started the first three games of the 2020 season before an injury against Missouri sidelined him for the remainder of the year.

Brennan then suffered a season-ending arm injury just days before LSU reported for training camp a year ago. He caps his career having thrown for 1,712 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Brennan graduated from LSU in May of 2021 with a degree in sports administration.

Surely he could take a stab at SLU or S Alabama. He would easily go over 2000

Rich kids.
This sure does make it easier for the play design going forward as Nuss and Jayden are much more similar.

I mean kid really should have stayed in the portal if this was gonna be the outcome. Its so tough. Senior...last chance at eligibility and you got no shot. Kick in the balls. Can he go to Southeastern or something? Does he even want to?

You're a pussy, 1212.
You criticize a young College Graduate and have no clue as to the basis for his decision.
I'm sure MB or this board didn't criticize YOU for applying to the Astronaut School for the fourth time...

Not sure the reason, not being the starter for the first game doesn’t mean he won’t be by game 3 or 4 or 5. I’m sure he has good reasons, but that sucks for the Tigers.

“graduate champions”
Classy quote, considering Myles did both at LSU—won a NC & graduated. That’s a pretty good career! Best of luck!

I'll say it. The first interception J. Daniels throws or the first game LSU loses due to poor offensive production, then the loss of Miles Brennan will be felt. A running QB can't survive in the SEC unless he's built like a truck, ala Tim Tebow. Then again, I don't make $10 million a year to make these types of decisions.

Ex-ND coach BK is probably partial to running QBs, like Ex-ND QB Book with the Saints, and probably Myles was going to share duty with Daniels. Good luck to a true Tiger, MB.

Yes....there was definitely a gun pointed to his head an he was given zero options. Since you were there, tell us exactly what BK told MB and his parents. I'll wait.

Did CBK keep him from transferring? Did he block it?
user avatar

I mean looking back it was in Myles best interest to transfer when he was in the portal.

I hope no one is classless enough to say anything bad about this young man. He stuck it out when NOBODY in college ever does anymore. I really was pulling for him to win the job to see him finally get rewarded for his loyalty but I wish him the best in everything he does in life. A true LSU Tiger through and through. Hats off to you Myles.

Apparently, MB will be competing against Max for the starting QB position at A&M
