Shortly after the NFL Combine wrapped up, LSU running back Derrius Guice said that he was asked inappropriate questions by teams that he met with about his mother and his sexuality.

The NFL responded to the statement made by Guice and said they would look into the matter. On Wednesday the league said that their investigation found no evidence that any NFL team asked Guice those questions. Per ESPN:

The league spent weeks trying to figure out who had asked Guice these questions. At least one team said Guice admitted that he "made up" the statements that led to a lengthy NFL investigation, according to a source.

"Following reports concerning the interviews of Derrius Guice at the Scouting Combine, the League conducted a thorough investigation, which included a formal review and report from every club that interviewed Mr. Guice during the Combine, as well as discussions with Mr. Guice, his agent and others," NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said in a statement. "The investigation did not confirm that any club made the reported inquiries. Nonetheless, we used this opportunity to reaffirm our workplace standards and emphasize the importance of fully complying with all requirements of federal and state law. The NFL and each of its member clubs remain fully committed to fair and non-discriminatory employment practices."

So NFL teams didn't admit to breaking NFL rules and the law. Case closed I guess.

Guice has no record of trouble. The NFL has a lengthy record. Hmmm, who to believe?

Agreed but keeping his mouth shut cost him serious dough. Too bad the CHS guidance counselor wasn’t there to muzzle him. He will still do well

So either Guice is a pathological liar or the NFL is engaged in a blatant cover up. Guice has never come off in 3 years as a liar or poor character guy so this makes no sense to me. Why would he sabotage himself? The NFLPA needs to royally call out the NFL if they don't produce evidence Guice is lying.

As if the NFL would be truthful about this. Why are ppl doubting Guice? He has shown any reason the past for is not to believe him. But NFL teams have have shown a history of asking questions like this. So is Guice being treated like a liar? Because they are protecting the shield, not the first time they have done this.

Any chance Guices agent told him to back off on this and to not tell the NFL what teams may or may not have said to attempt to just let this pass over and not piss anyone off during the investigation. Kinda like the girlfriend that recents her story. Maybe Guice backed off his story, if true, to not piss of any teams. . Then the NFL releases this statement saying it could not be confirmed right before the draft

Yes. Except the girlfriend story part.

"The investigation did not confirm that any club made the reported inquiries." (But it did not confirm they didn't.)

Who is more likely to lie here, a giant company who would look pretty bad if the allegations were true? Or a 20 year old kid who just wants to run a football and play fortnite? Can we stop this nonsense and let Guice be Guice.

Hey NFL team, did you ask Guice inappropriate questions? We most certainly did not. Okay then, carry on.

Seriously, what evidence would they possibly find? A transcript of their interview questions? Question #1 - What are your strengths? Question #2 - You gay, bro?... BOOM - Smoking gun
