LSU junior wide receiver Devonta Lee has entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal, according to multiple sources.

Lee becomes the fifth LSU receiver to enter the portal, joining Koy Moore, Deion Smith, Trey Palmer (Nebraska), and Alex Adams (Akron).

The Fluker, La. native was a four-star prospect in the class of 2018 coming out of Amite HS.

He appeared in 13 games during the 2019 season, catching two passes for 27 yards. He played in eight games in 2020 but did not record any stats. This past season, Lee had nine receptions for 85 yards and 1 touchdown.

I liked his effort but the team has players with better potential. He’s had a good run as a Tiger. I hope he finds a place and contributes to some wins

It’s funny how he sends out the “heart felt” message and how he loves LSU but in the same breath he’s leaving!!! Bye!

Many of us fans hate the transfer portal but if LSU’s football team has ever needed a complete cleansing it is NOW. Malaise and toxic are two words that describe LSU since that national championship night in January 2020. Between many players who developed a self importance selfish attitude beyond their team ( good example-LSU Cornerback Derek Stingley) to a coach whose arrogance and incompetence destroyed one of the best programs in America ( plus a specific assistant DB coach )the transfer portal is perfect. Getting rid of these malcontents and replacing them with athletes and coaches that care about ‘team’ will allow LSU to forward out of the abyss. Thanks AD Scott Woodward for starting the process.

Hate that it didn’t work out for Lee but man, I like this WR room with Boutte, Nabers and Bech highlighting it.

Teams may as well just have a period to trade players. It’s a joke.

I've also liked Lee and really thought he'd be special here. Fact is, he's barely gotten on the field. I wish it had worked out better for everyone, but I wish him the best for being a Tiger.

Young man, it is unfortunate that you were never able to develop your chest here.

I like all the "God's plan" tweets but they couldn't tell you the last time they cracked a Bible or sat in a pew.

Instead of passing judgement maybe you should pray for them. Wouldn't that be more Christ like?

They are recruited in the church. They know God. Believe it.
