LSU freshman tight end Arik Gilbert announced Sunday that he is transferring to Florida.

Gilbert, a former 5-star recruit from Marrieta, Ga., opted out of the season the week after LSU's loss to Alabama and entered the transfer portal on Jan. 5. He started in the first eight games for the Tigers, catching 35 receptions for 368 yards and two touchdowns.

We'll beat them this season, and 6'7" Kole Taylor will have an impactful game (I think he is going to have a very good 21 season). So goes the lesson.

Another Georgia recruit who quit

Well Gainesville isn't exactly close to Marietta, Ga. I guess he was lying.

Of all the schools lol. The fricking gators lol. Good luck with that run first qb replacing Trask. Whatever

Giant pussy, and apparently dumb enough to think that Florida coaches actually developed Pitts. Maybe this flake will take up surfing - down on 441 - like waves, crashing on the beach.

When will this "transfer portal" shite end. The NCAA fricked up with this.
Reply12 months
This whole transfer portal will become a cesspool of even worse under the table dealings. If we thought the recruiting of high school stars was dirty just wait until this monster gets going.

As talented as the kid is I just think LSU is better off without this headcase. We will be fine and plus the team played better without him. Wish him the best except when we play at Death Valley!

Moss was a real tight end. Too bad Arik couldn't cut it.
