LSU head coach Les Miles announced Thursday afternoon that quarterback Anthony Jennings has been given his release and will transfer to another school.

Jennings is expected to transfer after he graduates from LSU this summer. Per LSUSports.net:
quote:

“This is an opportunity for Anthony to put himself in a position to help another team have success. We wish him nothing but good fortune in the future and we appreciate all that he did while he was part of our program.”

In three years with the Tigers, Jennings played in 24 games, starting 13 times. He completed 124-of-256 passes for 1,792 yards and 12 touchdowns and added another 310 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

Thanks for giving your best to LSU. I'm also glad you're getting your degree. A free education is a tremendous gift.

I didn't realize that his completion percentage was actually near 50%...not really bad at all. I wish AJ the best...and tanks for being a tiger!

AJ came to LSU, was not a distraction last season when (the fans were but not AJ) after he was benched even when Harris played bad. I wish him the best of luck in the future.

wonder why he just decided this. Maybe now he realized he would graduate in the summer and play immediately somewhere else

Anthony has great character. He never pouted on the sideline, he kept his head in the game and he remained a great teammate even after his playing time diminished. Good luck to him wherever he goes.

I guess that means Etling has risen. Although, hopefully, Harris has improved enough to avoid a QB controversy. If he hasn't, give Etling the job before the season starts. 2016 is supposed to be the culmination year and we don't need a QB controversy mucking it up.

That's quite possibly the dumbest QB comment I ever seen on here.
