LSU backup quarterback AJ Swann is reportedly entering the transfer portal.

Swann spent the past season with the Tigers after transferring from Vanderbilt.

He appeared in two games this season, completing two passes for 10 yards.

Swann is the 17th LSU player to enter the transfer portal this cycle.

He never should have been here. No idea what BK and his staff were thinking.

Why did he even come here? He wasted a full season.

He has no business being on the sideline for the bowl game.

Eh, I doubt it. Teams need 4QBs and it'll be really hard to lure in a 4th with experience to replace him. I think the Van Buren signing may have flushed him out.

These kids have such a small window to get some PT with so much riding on it. Development can't happen much from the sideline. Good luck.

I now wonder if the portal has been bad for player development in some capacity. Think about it. 10 years ago, if you sat behind someone and practice hard, you were the next man up. Now, you might have to run from the better player who is in the portal. But what do I know!

He wasn't ready for the national spotlight against OU. Hope he finds a better fit for himself

Good riddance, he was terrible in his short LSU career

Not necessary to try to dunk on these college kids. Do better.

You have a great deal of maturation ahead of you. Bet someone pays your bills, and you live at home. Swann gave it a shot. You should wish him well.

"College kids". They get paid. They're fair game.

As an OU fan, I had a fleeting glimmer of hope when he came the game.

Good for him. He is not P4 material.

Ready for some forfeits or a 6-7 team playing in the national title because everyone else has too many opt outs.

I like this just because I was worried BK would go with seniority of over talent. The few throws Swann had against Oklahoma were shockingly bad. Hope it works out for him at his next school.
