LSU officially announced the signing of Penn State transfer running back Noah Cain on Wednesday.

Cain, a native of Baton Rouge, is a former four-star recruit from IMG Academy and was the No. 6 running back in the 2019 recruiting class. He was heavily recruited by LSU coming out of high school and even had the Tigers as one of his top schools before signing with Penn State.

He had a breakout freshman season in 2019 but suffered a season-ending injury in the first game of the 2020 season and was limited most of 2021 spring practice.

Notice all the defensive prospects (so far) have signed and all the offense have not. That Superbowl DC had an impact. Wonder if Kelly's offensive draw (or a losing Cinn OC) is not sealing the deal...

so we process a HS 4* in the morning and sign a proven former 4* instead in the afternoon ? LOL, I'm in.

If Cain is back to 100%, he could be an extremely underrated signing. He was the unquestioned #1 RB at Penn State before getting hurt.

See what I mean by my earlier post. Don’t get excited about high school signing so much anymore. Many will use their one free pass

It's cool, we didn't need Citizen.

Between Cain and Emery and signing a top RB next year, we will not miss a beat by not signing Citizen.
