Greg Sankey Has Blunt Response When Asked About LSU's Standing In The SEC

SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey spoke with reporters at SEC Media Days on Wednesday and was asked what he'd like to see from LSU to feel better about their standing within the conference:

"I’d like to not be in court, but as I said, those legal filings speak for themselves," Sankey responded.

The comments come one day after the SEC filed its opposition to LSU's motion to dismiss the conference's federal lawsuit.

In Tuesday's filing, the SEC maintained that the dispute goes beyond the eligibility of former professional athletes and continues to raise questions about LSU's compliance with conference rules and its membership in the league.

Has he ever commented on Trinidad Chambliss being ruled ineligible by the NCAA?

"I'd like to not be in court..."

Then why did you file lawsuits in the first place? Why are you arguing against the motion to dismiss? Kinda sounds like you DO want to be in court, jackass.

C'mon don't be so obtuse.

Don't get me wrong, I don't like it either, but what he is essentially saying is he would rather the things going on not be going on so that he wouldn't have to file lawsuits, etc...

Sounds to me like he wants LSU to self impose or accept punishment (punishment for zero broken rules btw). LSU is telling him to F off

He could end it all now by dropping the lawsuit. Instead he wants LSU to "bend the knee and kiss the ring" all to prevent public scrutiny and embarassment. The goalpost keep moving on this. As people been saying, they want LSU to publicly apologize and admit wrongdoing. And I wouldn't because based on the bylaws, what have you done wrong? Now basketball is the next target. It's far from over.

That was a lawsuit and court hearing from the players, not from LSU. What an ignorant fool!

Only this dumbass would stand in front of the media and state he would like to not be in court, but refuses to drop the federal suit against LSU.

LSU, just like the State of Louisiana, is just different. Maybe LSU tells Sankey to frig' off, goes independent and allows Napoleonic Law to dictate how it behaves!

Is this an example of the "Monkeys and bananas" story, but with 15 bananas instead of five?

I should have said 15 monkeys. The 16th would have been the one who challenged the rest.

I hope this becomes the death of Sankey's career when it is all said and done. This guys is a POS.

Until the judge says these players are ineligible this fight will continue. In my mind LSU needs to make a decision. Have the injunction overturned or decide to go to another conference. It playing the guys means nothing. The SEC wants an ineligible ruling by the judge. Until then LSU is defying SEC rules in their eyes.

The players sued not LSU. We have zero to do with that. And what has LSU done? The players weren't rostered. They've done everything the SEC has asked them to do. This is just personal for the attorneys making him look like an arse on the stand for not knowing his own damn bylaws. What a joke.
