During Super Bowl week in New Orleans, former LSU star quarterback Joe Burrow sat down with CBS Sports and did a blind ranking of five LSU wide receivers.

Here's how it turned out:

Bert Jones is still #1. Tommy Hodson was better than Flynn.

Bert Jones was incredible. His name should be on the stadium.

Elite NFL DB’s feared Eric Martin’s route running, as well. He is 5B.

At least let the guy see the whole list firs and then rank them!

That’s why they call it a “blind” ranking, Spanks…

Jarvis Landry at 4 maybe...OBJ was a big play guy but Landry produced. Brian Thomas bloomed late or he couldve been ranked higher. Nabers is absolutely better than OBJ and had a better college career than Thomas. Omitting OBJ this list contains the best active receivers in the NFL

All you young guys need to go watch Josh Reed's tape. He belongs in the top 3.

I thought blind ranking would be looking at the stats of 5 WRs without the names attached. They do it on shows fairly often.

OBJ dropped way more balls than Malik. Very underrated

It reminds me of when Karl Malone is asked to name his 5 greatest NBA players of all time. He always says John Stockton. Always. #OneTeamOneFight

I love that about these sorts of men.

He didn't rank Chase #2. He ranked him 1B which would have been 1A if Chase's name came before Jefferson from the interviewer.

No he saw the 1b critics coming and actually ranked him "1A #2"

dude was on top of it...he saw it coming when he ranked JJ
user avatar
Crazy he ranked Chase #2.

That’s the point of the game. You have no idea what order people are going to come out in. He clearly would have ranked BTJ number five, but he didn’t know that they were going to put Nabors out. If you’re being honest, picking between Jefferson and Chase is splitting hairs.

I mean, a big part of Burrow's Heisman season was throwing 60 TD passes. Of those, he threw 20 to Chase and 18 to Jefferson. He's never not going to have those guys #1 and #2. He knew they were coming and reserved the top 2 spots for them.
