Former LSU quarterback Lindsey Scott Jr. announced Monday that he has committed to Missouri.

Scott Jr. was a part of LSU's 2016 signing class but announced in August of 2017 that he would be transferring to East Mississippi Community College.

The Zachary, LA native was named the Gatorade Louisiana Football Player of the Year in 2015. His decision to commit to Mizzou comes just one day after Scott Jr. wrapped up his official visit to Missouri.

I hope he does. The kid is a class act. He never had a fair shake at LSU

He couldn’t throw for 3000 yards in 4 years

Once Drew Lock graduates, he will get 4000 yards and 30 TDs for Missouri. As an LSU fan, I would just laugh and laugh and laugh.

Missouri upsetting bama on Oct 13 now.... Lindsey passing for over 300 yards

...and the ensuing melt on this very board of that happens

if Mizzou is even in the race in the East and he lights it up, the melt will be epic in length... that'll be a 4-5 week melt.

I wish him nothing but the best (except if he's playing against us.)

Let me get this right. He turned down Harvard for LSU and now he turns down Tulane for Missouri. Does he not get it that he is 5'9" at best and has no chance of ever playing in the PRO's? He will regret not going to one of those finer universities when he is no longer playing. P.S. I hate Tulane but an underwater basket weaving degree carries a lot of clout from there!

This is one stupid hot take.

There have been tons of undersized players that went on to have great college careers. He just wants his shot. Can't blame him at all.

Professor Hindsight here..... Scott would have been a difference maker if the head coach had let him to take a few snaps. The guy is very talented. Watch him at Mizzou. He is not unlike Jalen Hurts. You heard it here first.

Yeah, no other idiot has ever said that on this site. Ever. Congrats

No way he will even start as a qb....anywhere. He has the size of a middle schooler. Good luck to him but LSU is much better off without.

Tigerpawl I 100% Agree! You have a lot of down votes here because people don't do there homework! He had offers from Notre Dame, Stanford, Clemson just to name a few. But he accepted a late offer from LSU. He is the REAL DEAL!!

Was it easier or harder to type “SEC school” instead of “Missouri” in the headline??

Most people don't know Missouri is an SEC School....for good reason.

amazing what sometimes another year can do for maturity and development...maybe, just maybe he was not ready a year ago. It is not always LSU's fault. Wish him the best.

What a sorry frick you must be!

Why because I said the truth? They gave him a scholarship because another fell through. He wasn’t wanted to begin with.

No. It's because you took the time to comment 3 or 4 different times to bash a kid, that is probably 10x the athlete and scholar you are, over the internet. You sorry frick!

Remember this kid did become a Tiger once before...only it was in Baton Rouge. Wish him all the luck and success! Only hope you're not on your A-Game if you play LSU.

This kid has had a damn strange path. Unheralded recruit suddenly gets and accepts a scholarship from LSU over Harvard. Doesn't play immediately at LSU and transfers to EMCC. Leaves after 1 year to play at another SEC school that is not as good as the one that he signed with initially. Seems like he is a good kid that was raised right, but I sure have to wonder who is giving him life advice...

The guy is looking for his shot. I'll root for him!

I honestly think LSU will regret never giving this kid his shot.

He is just the kind of guy to come back and haunt us one day. Like in the SEC championship game this fall (Tigers 35-31 btw). Vision Zest
