Former LSU linebacker Kevin Minter has signed with the New York Giants, according to the team.

Minter, who played for the Tigers from 2009 to 2012, becomes the fourth LSU player to join the Jets defensive roster, along with Morris Claiborne, Rashard Robinson, and Jamal Adams. Per New York Jets:
quote:

Minter has familiarity with Jets head coach Todd Bowles as the former started his career in Arizona and appeared in 28 games in 2013-14 when the latter was the Cardinals’ defensive coordinator. A second-round pick of the Cardinals in the 2013 NFL Draft, the LSU product has played in 70 contests and made 44 starts in five pro seasons.

The 6’0”, 246-pounder made his home in Cincinnati last season, starting seven contests for the Bengals and finishing with 32 tackles. Minter became a full-time starter with Arizona in 2015-16, totaling 175 tackles and four sacks. The 6’0”, 246-pound Minter, who played collegiately with Jets cornerback Morris Claiborne at LSU, becomes the fourth Bayou Bengal on the roster.

One of my favorite Tigers of all time, incredible talent and unrelentless effort. A role model such as Minter should motivate DW40 to achieve amazing things himself

I’ll never forget his unbelievable game against Florida where the dude was responsible for nearly every tackle. What an athlete. Good for him.
