ESPN Doesn't Include LSU In List Of Nine Teams With A Chance To Make The CFP Title Game

ESPN released a list on Tuesday of nine teams that have a chance to make the College Football Playoff National Championship but did not include undefeated No. 5 LSU.
Here are the nine teams ESPN picked and their current rankings:
1. Alabama (No. 1)
2. Ohio State (No. 3)
3. Georgia (No. 2)
4. Clemson (No. 4)
5. Notre Dame (No. 6)
6. Oklahoma (No. 7)
7. Penn State (No. 11)
8. Washington (No. 10)
9. Michigan (No. 15)
Here are the nine teams ESPN picked and their current rankings:

It's a common theme here -- and also to be expected, considering we're entering only Week 6 -- that some of the best teams in the country are still in need of résumé-boosting wins. There are ample opportunities, especially in the Big 12, Big Ten and SEC. Two more teams that were just on the verge of making the list were LSU and West Virginia, which both have a 6.4 percent chance to make the playoff but only a 0.6 percent chance to win it all.
