Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports
ESPN College Football analyst Chris Low joined Bo Mattingly's radio show “Sports Talk With Bo Mattingly” on Thursday and said that LSU athletic director Joe Alleva "might be on the hotter seat," compared to head coach Ed Orgeron,

Thoughts?

Alleva has been the Athletic Director at LSU since 2008. He made the decision to fire former head coach Les Miles after 12 seasons in September of 2016 and named Ed Orgeron the full-time head coach in November of 2016.

I think we can all agree that Alleva has disappointed, but I do give him credit for hiring Will Wade.

He should've been gone a LONG time ago.. along with Les Miles.

Don't hate on Les Miles. He gave his heart and soul to LSU and maintained a level of success for over a decade in the toughest division in college football. He may not have been the best X's and O's guy and his play calling was questionable at times, but you take away going for it on 4th down 5 times against Florida and calling a passing play to beat Auburn in 2007, then LSU probably doesn't win the national championship. Les deserves some appreciate from LSU fans.

I'm seeing predictions we will win the national championship in 2019. No way we fire Jeaux and Eaux the year before we win it all. Especially considering we have the best talent in the country.

LSU has had the talent to match up with Bama for quite sometime. LSU gets out coached by Bama! Miles came with the same game plan every week regardless of the opponent and refused to change. That's why he was shown the door. Coach O should be given a fair opportunity to shift the program into the right direction and that takes time. It won't be done overnight. Alleva has had plenty of time to do his part and for ever step he has taken forward, he's taken 2 steps back. I don't know if O will succeed. I can't see into the future. But he deserves the time to try. Alleva needs to be shown the door tho!

LSU has had the talent to match up with Bama for quite some time EXCEPT at QB. If we do nothing more than swap QB's with them a couple of those NC's are ours and not in Tuscy.

LSU does not have the best talent in the country. Alabama, Clemson and Ohio State have better talent or at least equal. Auburn and Florida are right up there as well.

Good it needs to be. He royally messed up firing Miles in 2015, then in 2016 we were supposed to get a head start on a coaching search, which he didn't really do and ended up promoting Miles' D-Line coach after not really searching.

Alleva will go before O. No way they let him hire the next coach assuming O goes down in flames.

Might be on the hotter seat? He knows no more than any other pundit.

Correct. Might be on the hotter seat says nothing. We are having ice cream today that might be vanilla. Two cars might have wrecked head-on into each other. More information is needed.

Simply bcs Alleva’s contract is up first it’s probably accurate that his seat is hotter. However if Alleva is removed O’s seat is hot hot. No other AD would hire him nor would a new AD tie themselves to him.

This is 100% correct. Alleva’s future is directly tied to O’s. If O is unsuccessful, Alleva goes first. When a new AD comes in there is no way he retains O. If O is successful, both are safe. We’ll see. I hope for the programs sake he is successful but I have my doubts. That doesn’t mean I’m a “hater”. Until he shows he can win big and be consistent, many will have the same opinion.

nah , you're a hater brah. If you don't blindly believe O can go 15-0, you're a hater.
