Former LSU National Championship coach Ed Orgeron was on ESPN's "UnSportsmanLike" and was explicitly asked if he would consider being an assistant head coach at LSU if Lane Kiffin were named head coach of the Tigers...

quote:

"Would you be willing, and I'm being very specific on this. If someone specifically became the head coach, would you be willing to be his assistant? And that someone is someone that you have been close with and worked with, Lane Kiffin. Would you ever go back to be an assistant at LSU?"

"Yeah, I would consider it. I love LSU," Orgeron said. "I still have my home in Baton Rouge. Coach (Les) Miles made me the defensive line coach. I love the Tigers. And I'm getting back into coaching, for sure I would consider it. No doubt."

This would be a HOME RUN if LSU can get them both. GEAUX TIGERS! OM will give Lane whatever he $wants$ and the key to city to keep him.

I think CEO would bring way too much experience in Coaching, Development & maybe most of all RECRUITING for any new HC to keep KW rather than hiring CEO!!

Unless Wilson gets the HC gig; wont happen but wouldn’t tRant be amazing if it did?

And then after a few years he can stab Kiffin in the back well lobbying for the head coaching job with tBinder. Time is a flat circle!

Do it--we need Coach O's fire on the D line.

Kyle Williams is the DL Coach and doing a great job. What's O going to coach at LSU? He's not coaching anything but DL. KW would have to leave first and most of us would not want that to happen.

New Head Coaches always get to name their assistants. I also question the logic of keeping a DL Coach that’s given up so many big plays up the middle. I love Kyle’s energy and he was a stud as a player, but our DL was not feared.

Man, I loved coach O. But the comment “show me the door” when they told him he can have is buyout and leave. It just did me in.

Maybe he was deflecting some of his own remorse from what happened? Seems likely.
