I think the best example would be Jalen Hurts as a comparative! Replaced by Tua, Jalen transferred to OK for another season to learn passing concepts, reading defenses, improve mechanics, and most importantly playing time! If he goes in the 4th-7th round this season, he’ll be holding a clipboard and platoon the Scout team in the NFL before, eventually being cut, never having the opportunity to play at the NFL level. Come back for another year PLAYING and developing and he possibly moves up 1-3 Rounds and develops in to a long-term option in the NFL!?! But going this year is a gamble… he’ll be back in 2023 and make LSU’s WB room even deeper! No one will be sleeping on LSU in 23!! Geaux Tigers!!

See ARK game performance. He'll be back, along with every one on the OFF except Boutte and Emery. Loaded for 23. GT!

He needs to go. All the talk when he came in was one and done. If he stays it will cause kaos in the at QB position. Howard needs to be developed.

Easy to understand why we want him to return. Harder to see why he would want to come back. If he can go in the first three rounds? He should sprint out of here. There is no guarantee he will escape injuries or improve beyond that ranking. Smart money takes the sure thing.

He’s not a first 3 rounds guy, yet. He could be with one good year of passing

He could use another year to polish his game.. Return to a ready made play book, great receivers, a good running game if our backs come back, solid offensive line, Strong defense! We could win a natty and go out on top as a first maybe second rounder for sure.. so take the Nil money and come back another year even if he wins a natty this yr!

It’d be nice if BDJ quietly reached out to Daniels with some Tiger QB advice.

Leave now - 3rd round at best
Come back - Heisman and first round potential, and make some great NIL money.

He is just positioning himself for more NIL money in 2023. JD knows he needs another years under center.

I mean....if you can guarantee no injuries come back and have a light load and major in football win a NC and a Heisman and likely be #1 in the 2024 draft....problem is nothing in life is guaranteed and BK is right what is best for JD5 is what is best for all.

Don't be stupid...use Joe Burrow as your example. Start picking out classes for next year.

So smart to bring in consultants, 3rd party non-biased view to show Jayden how much more money he can make by returning.

Goddamn Kelly is good

If he could improve his long ball accuracy (especially down the sidelines), he could eventually be a possible 1st rounder. He seems to be able to make the rest of the throws pretty well and is throwing with anticipation now.

Re-watch the bama game. JD was still late on a lot of his throws. Not enough to hurt him versus bama but not good enough for the NFL. The good news is he has shown improvement from week to week and still has a lot of room to improve. I believe eventually he is going to be a very good NFL QB. He has the tools.

Mel Kiper currently has JD ranked as the 9th best college QB. That's good enough for a 7th round pick based on last years draft. If JD pads his stats the next three games he will likely rise in Kiper's rankings. I believe he is 2nd to 3rd round pick at this point. JD will have a hard decision.

Another season of progression would sure help him...He'd certainly be in the Heisman conversation, as well....

Hes got to come back. There is no reason to leave to become a third rounder. If he can play well these last games, and come back to lead LSU to a good season and have good stats. I think there is nothing but progress from what I've seen on him. He's a totally different QB than he was week 1. He's only gotten better. That's why I think he should come back next year and continue to progress. That way he can get into the first or second round. Right now, he's probably 4th round at best.
