During his postgame press conference on Saturday following the Oklahoma win, head coach Brian Kelly was asked how the team decides what uniforms they wear each week.

Kelly said he leaves it up to the team and the leadership council to make that call:

"There is only one call; it's our leadership council," Kelly said. We have 26 representatives who represent all of the classes. They decide at the start of the season what uniforms they want to wear. They have different combinations that they can wear."

"I don't really care what they wear as long as the uniforms are prescribed by the university and we wear them accordingly."

Why do you wish it was more of a priority for him?? I’m glad he isn’t worried about piecing together an outfit and leaves it to the kids…

Let the players decide. Seems fitting.

If only there was a precedent...

That LSU uniform last night was BEAUTIFUL, and contrasted perfectly with Oklahoma's classic cream and crimson road uniform. And we won the game, convincingly.

Why are people still complaining?

Boy, some of you LSU fans are F’ing impossible, you bitch more about unis than winning or losing games. BK said he left that up to the players, if the players buck the traditional than the traditional is bucked, live with it, this ain’t your Grandfather’s LSU Tigers.

No issue with this. The tradition purists are annoying. The #1 team in the country is notorious for having about 75 different uniform combinations. Just win

He has more respect for his former employer, Notre Dame, than he does LSU.

I love my Tigers, but I know you’re not comparing Notre Dame Golden Dome historic traditions to LSU’s traditions?

Head coach should not concern himself with team fashion. Perhaps they can get some NIL money for some teenager to handle that.

If the players don’t want to wear LSU uniforms, maybe they shouldn’t be at LSU.

We need to go back to wearing purple jersey at home. Everything else should be up for debate besides that.

Terrible idea. LSU gold white gold at home is a classic look that people around the world recognize.

Wish they had worn the “normal” look for Senior Night

What difference does it make? This team needs a new tradition: just win, baby, win. They could have wore ecru & blue Nehru jackets for last night's game, and as long as they win, that's what really matters.

I don’t know how he makes the decision, but I’m pretty sure he has to call a timeout to decide.

So they can choose to not wear the traditional uniforms for every game?
Senior night needs to be traditional.
School needs to step in

Then we’ll be Oregon S for the foreseeable future. I’m ok with that.
