This Brian Kelly era came to a quick end on Sunday night after the University decided to fire him eight games into his fourth season at LSU.

Kelly met with the team on Sunday night and was back at the LSU Football Facility early Monday morning to clean out his office.

Later in the day, Kelly and his wife were spotted having lunch at Superior Grill, which was likely his last meal out in Baton Rouge before he hit the airport on Tuesday.

He was never really here

This is a simple comment that will get laughed aside but couldn’t be closer to the truth. Dude checked out 2-3 years ago.

That game was the highlight of Brian Kelly's career at LSU! Had a lot of us fooled after that game thinking that there would be more to come! Did not happen, not even close!

Why are people so obsessed with having to see him at 5am, eating, and flying out? Leave him alone and move on with your own lives.

He couldn't wait to leave because you are all spoiled.

LSUDAN1•12 months

Too bad Woodward wasn't on that same plane with him.

Stupid comment. Stick to the job you are already terrible at.

Woody has not been all bad. Mulkey and Johnson were really good hires.

You're the one with the stupid comment. All Woodward is good at is leading the country when it comes to schools being saddled with huge buyouts.

This man is a brilliant criminal or an absolute buffoon that stumbled into a fortune. Not sure which yet.

One thing I do know - whoever created and those that approved his contract should be fired with prejudice.
