Following LSU's 63-7 win over Purdue in the Citrus Bowl, Brian Kelly was asked about rumors that have been circulating about possible staff changes.

Kelly shot down any speculation and said that the staff is in good standing amid rumors.

When was the last time both LSU & Tulane both won major bowls on the same day & possibly the same season. Does anyone know?

Good question. Per Wikipedia, never. Tulane's only prior major bowl victory was the "1934" (January 1, 1935) Sugar Bowl (20-14 over Temple). LSU did not play in a bowl that year, and its first major bowl victory was the "1943" (January 1, 1944) Orange Bowl (19-14 over Texas A&M).

Kelly was playing some of Ed's mediocre players on special teams. Give polian a break and now kelly kicked those guys off the team either to the draft or transfer portal that were really lacking
