LSU landed a commitment from Auburn safety Austin Ausberry out of the transfer portal on Tuesday night.

Ausberry, a redshirt freshman from Baton Rouge (University Lab), played in three games this past season and will have three years of eligibility. The former four-star recruit played cornerback in high school and moved to safety at Auburn.

His father is former LSU linebacker Verge Ausberry, who serves as the school's Executive Deputy Director of Athletics and Executive Director of External Relations.

Ausberry is LSU's fourth addition from the transfer portal this offseason.
