Great title. He did not choose A&M over LSU. He would have been able to commit to LSU to do that. He was not willing to play the only position LSU offered him at so he went to A&M.

I hate when they do stuff like this. That made it seem like it was a heated recruiting battle and Jimbo came in and stole one.

I would simply like coach O and this staff to pull out a list of players who spurned LSU for these other colleges and the ones who've stayed home then compare them. Have two columns to show how successful the ones leaving were compared to the ones who stayed, then say look, it's your choice no doubt but when you look at this list, which is actually the best business decision? Then follow up with something like, yea these colleges might look real good to a talented young man like yourself and they might tell you that you're different and you might be but I assure you that those words were spoken to previous players and still the list doesn't lie. This is LSU, we take care of our own, that's Texas, they take care of their own, that's just the way it is. Nothing personal, it's strictly business, so please think about your future before signing something binding. Come to a game or two, think about this list and know that LSU takes care of their own as well as Texas. Go Tigers!

Going to suck having UGA, Bama and aTm regularly taking talent out of Louisiana. Isn’t this why we hired O? I thought the binder said he was going to lock down the state?

Don't wish him bad luck. It'll just suck for him losing to us every year.

I watched every game he played this past year. U High is full of talent and Harris is very good, but kind of a he's a 'tweener. Not really aggressive enough to be an effective linebacker, and not tall enough to be an effective receiver. As a U High kid, I wish him nothing but the best, but there are better players at each of those positions out there. Maybe he'll be a safety?

LSU offered him as an H-back and had backed off the kid. Good luck to him.

Must have found the fisher model of letting players do whatever they want appealing.
