Wow, a recruit from Mater Dei committing to LSU, nice! I know it's still a year before he can commit, but it's a encouraging that we have a kid/kids from Mater Dei/Cali paying attention and committing to us. If we can get a kid or 2 each cycle from Cali, that would huge. Welcome Raesjon! Stick with the good guys!

If you've followed recruiting long enough, you know a commitment doesn't carry the weight it should! Now we've got this transfer portal and loyalty is all but a thing of the past! For me, I'll get excited about this kid when...IF he signs with LSU!

There is really no reason to get hyped. You know there's a whole year till his signing day? Kids will be committed all year and flip on you signing day (see Jarrett this year). Save your nerves, just say oh that's nice and move on to the next thing.

Great news, but commitments from these out of state kids has tuned out to be 50/50 propositions. I would rather LSU recruit 4 star Louisiana kids who want to be LSU tigers than waste their time with out of state 5 star recuits who you can't rely on to sign.

Boy it’s really funny how people can look at the wrong side of good things , like a commit from the #1 linebacker In the country , and not be happy about it .... There is always a negative and a positive way to look at life . The world could end tomorrow also , but I’m not going to be discouraged that it might .... lol Enjoy the ride guys . Geaux Tigers ??

I definitely see your point, but the likelihood of the world ending tomorrow isn’t exactly an apples to apples comparison with a committed kid not ending up signing, considering it happens multiple times every year.
