Elite five-star cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. from Baton Rouge unveiled his top schools over the weekend and included LSU in the mix.

His top schools are LSU, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Texas A&M, Texas, Michigan, Stanford, Penn State, and Oklahoma.

The 6-0, 175-pound prospect from Dunham School was a one-time LSU verbal commit but reopened his recruitment last April. He is rated the No. 1 cornerback in the county for the class of 2019, according to Rivals.

Well on paper there’s a 10% chance —hopefully it’s much higher than that as it should be.

glad you called him Derek Stingley Jr. because I was confusing him with Derek Stingley Sr. I'm getting really tired of this new fad on adding the suffix to people's names, unless it's truly necessary to avoid confusion, which is virtually never. The only time it was needed in my lifetime is with Ken Griffey Sr. and Jr., since they both played major league ball at the same time.

Maybe he'll be a loyal BR LSU commit like D. Guice! Hope so, but I'm also not a fan Juniors in high school naming 10 to 20 schools. We get it, people want you, but you're still in High School man it's self serving too much for me.

Oh good grief! Let the young man stretch his legs. He's the #1 CB in the nation! For him not to see a few things would be a travesty. I do hope he chooses LSU as he will be coached by an elite defensive mind and play immediately. AND, the NFL has a strong fondness for LSU players as the numbers show. Go and have fun young man!!!!

Man, you folks are funny as hell on TD, I don't know if y'all hate Coach O a lot are y'all love Nick Saban a lot. First of all you talk like Saban got a lot of talent from Louisiana like last year and he didn't when Coach O said he was putting up a fence around Louisiana and stopping that pipeline from Northern Louisiana to Alabama he did exactly that. It is hilarious how LSU 2018 class is getting shited on and Saban and his cronies came at them hard DB Kelvin Joseph, WR Terrace Marshall, WR JaMarr Chase, OT Badara Traore, DE Jarell Cherry, DT Chasen Hines, DT Dare Rosenthal, LB Damone Clark, LB Micah Baskerville, WR Kenan Jones, DT Davin Cotton, OT Cameron Wire, DT Nelson Jenkins and DE Travez Moore all turned down Alabama. Yes we all know he got CB Patrick Surtain but that was about it I think he got like two prospects from Louisiana with Salmen 3* CB Eddie Smith being the highest rated so please people give Coach O a lot of credit because Nick Saban got cancelled. And next year mark my words LSU will sign the majority of the 5 and 4* talent from Louisiana and bring in if not the #1 class then a top 2 or 3 class and the best in LSU history. GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!PURPLEREIGN?????????????
